Paige is too whiney and insecure for my taste.
Revisado: 05-05-25
I listened to "Flirting with the Beast" first. I loved it. I wanted to love "Flirting with Fifty" so much because I use to live in Orange, I was a college professor just so many reasons I wanted to love it that I finished the book. But WOW, Paige was just way too whiney and insecure and inflexible for me. By the end of the book I was rooting for Jack to walk away. I couldn't understand what he saw in her. I've never write reviews but this was so frustrating for me to want to love it and just couldn't related to Paige at all. If it wasn't for the performance I'm not sure I would have been able to finish. Again, so bummed because I wanted to love it, just couldn't.

Excellent- Must Listen to it!!!
Revisado: 06-04-23
Wasn’t sure what to expect of a book by Patterson & Parton…turned out I loved it! Not what I expected from a Patterson book, but the story wasn’t engaging and kept me wanting to hear more. I loved that characters and didn’t want it to end. On an audio book the performance is important, the last one I listened to was ruined due to the reader. Run Rose Run uses multiple readers and they are all wonderful and the voices match the characters. Also I enjoy when authors read their own books, so I enjoyed Dolly Parton reading the Annie Lee Ryder character’s part.
I’m not a huge country western music fan but I do enjoy it now and again and I did enjoy my visit to Nashville. So don’t hesitate to buy if you enjoy the country western music even a little bit!
I hope this duo writes more together. Dolly is as creative with her novel as her music.

I have listened to Sarah Driscoll’s previous books and enjoyed them so I purchased without listening to the preview. It took everything I could do to get through it due to the narrator. She is awful. Hard to follow who’s speaking and I found I kept drifting g off. I do t recommend due to the narrator. It also seemed that it was more about a side character Kate, but maybe it was due to the narrator. Save your money.

Don’t do it. Skip this one!!!
Revisado: 07-04-21
I have listened to 3 of Corrine Michael’s series. I have enjoyed them all. While I may have enjoyed some characters and storylines more than others I enjoyed them all. This one thou - Don’t WASTE your time or money on it. The female reader is awful. Poor voice casting. She sounds like an old hag, which didn’t endear mean to the character. Plus her delivery sucked! Little to no character Develoment or plot other than two people falling in love. Nor does it advance, enrich or add to the Salvation series. I believe you can skip this book and move in to the next duet in the series and you wouldn’t miss a thing. Anything of importance will be recapped in the next book snd that’s probably only that Gretchen & Ben are married. Hard to care about them since they add so little to the series other than marrying all the gals off. Such a disappointment.
Upside I only had to listen to that awful female voice fir a few hours - if it hadn’t been so short I wouldn’t have made it through. And I only did because I was afraid I’d miss something important, but no, not a thing. Can’t get that time or money back. Bummer!

Men suck. They break you. Leave you. Take everything until there's nothing left. And frankly, I'm done allowing them to make me feel insignificant. So, forget men. I'll just throw myself into my job, because at least that never fails me. Jackson has other plans, though. I refuse to be impressed by his perfect body, the cute dimple on his cheek, or the rugged stubble on his face. Jackson Cole can be resisted. But, I'm only fooling myself. He's going to wear me down. I can feel it. In the end he'll prove that once again, I'm no one's beloved.

Hate when one book is made into two.
Revisado: 06-19-21
I enjoy her stories better when they alternate from female & males characters. This book it’s all Katherine until the last chapter. I’m not a fan of Katherine’s character. I’ve read many of Corinne Michael’s books. While the characters continue on the stories conclude. I hate when a story is cut in half and they call it a book so you have to buy the next one to hear the consolation. Know you’ll need to by the next book in order to find out the ending.

I'm not a one-night stand kind of woman. I'm especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh. However, that's exactly where I find myself. What's a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can.

Revisado: 05-07-21
This is the first book of Corine Michael’s that I’ve read/listened to. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I had to be careful not to listen to the sexual encounters through the speaker. Lol! Well written, enjoyable story and characters, great performances reading the story. Looking forward to another of her books.

Great Story, Poor Performance
Revisado: 05-05-21
I love this series, but they shouldn't change readers. I had to really work to listen to this narrater, just because I love this authors books. I like for her to write another book in this series but not if it's the same narrater as this book.

Revisado: 05-05-21
Totally enjoyed A Time to Kill, both the story and the performance. Although I listened to this book after listening to books 2 and 3 I still loved it. Buy just to listen to this book, even it you don't listen to "The King of. Torts". I found the "The King of Torts" good, but not awesome.

The Brethren: They call themselves the Brethren: three disgraced former judges doing time in a Florida federal prison. Don't Waste your time or money
Revisado: 05-05-21
Both books had good performances, although there was a glitch in The Brethren recording where is would periodically repeat a line. Very distracting!
The Summons was an interesting enough story, but a very unsatisfying ending.
The Brethren, omg, it took me many, many chapters to even get into it, then it became intriguing, but ended abruptly and again a very unsatisfying ending.
I recommend. you save your money and time, not worth either of them.

I say, too many say & says!
Revisado: 11-17-19
While the plot was interesting, their was the worst Janes Patterson book I’ve every read or listened to. I agree with the other reviewer who it was almost impossible to listen to with the number of “I say”, “he says” over and over again. It’s almost as if a child wrote it. And where are the editors? It was so painful to listen to. I almost didn’t purchase it due to the review, but I thought how bad could it be, we’ll very bad. Don’t bother with listening to this Patterson book, even if your a big Patterson fan like I am it’s not worth it. In addition, the reader’s voice is annoying after awhile.
