Historia
Blackstone Audio is proud to present the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s production of Measure for Measure, Shakespeare’s compelling tragicomedy that explores restraint—and lack thereof. The duke’s authoritarian deputy, Angelo, is hell-bent on stamping out moral decay. He reactivates outdated draconian laws and aims his arrogant crosshairs at a young man whose fiancée is pregnant, sentencing him to death. Angelo is sternly incorruptible—until he meets Isabela....

What is this?
Revisado: 12-06-22
For some strange reason this is combined with Latino music and Spanish words in the middle of the dialogue. The Shakespearean English is mostly kept the same, which is what I was hoping would be simplified, so the contrast is immense and it just sounds ridiculous.

Interesting history of science and arguments
Revisado: 10-31-22
Good: Had some interesting history of science and a new perspective on the science vs religion question. The scientific arguments are also quite fascinating.
Bad: really repetitive and needlessly long. Could probably be summarised in a 5th of its size.

Historia
While investigating a fairly straightforward case of a shape-shifting interdimensional child predator, Dave, John, and Amy realized there might actually be something weird going on. Together, they navigate a diabolically convoluted maze of illusions, lies, and their own incompetence in an attempt to uncover a terrible truth they - like you - would be better off not knowing.

Tiresome at times
Revisado: 09-15-22
David Wong seems to enjoy forcing analogies that don't work to push this nihilistic, evolutionist view on everything in life. It got tiring once I noticed it. He quotes all these "facts" that are scientific conjectures and nothing more. It is not maturity or intellectual honesty or "scientific" to be so focused on suffering and to impose meaninglessness on everything, which seems to be the trend nowadays.

Good dramatization
Revisado: 11-24-21
Good dramatization but the volume is too low at times. The accents are also too heavy to make out at some points.

Such a beautiful journey through grief
Revisado: 03-21-21
I struggled to get through the first parts of this book because of how painful it is. He asks questions we all either ask or suppress when it comes to God and death. I'm glad I made it through because the rest is beautiful, beautiful in a way that touches the soul as a profound yet simple truth.

Historia
Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....

Whether the conclusions are true or not, the ideas are very interesting and I believe this book is an important read for everyone.
