Forest, North Carolina. Under the instruction of enigmatic Professor Joe Lyons, five graduate students are studying the tedious science behind the acts of lying. The story is good, but would have been vastly improved with a better narrator. Overall, I enjoyed it thoroughly!!

Historia
In Tune with the Infinite is a classic with real depth in which eternal truths are presented in an accessible way. Trine explains that thinking is a living force and that individuals exercise creative power through the operation of thought processes. Things exist in the unseen before they become manifest; the unseen is cause and the seen is effect.

Love the message, hate the delivery
Revisado: 03-13-20
The reader makes this book almost impossible to enjoy. There are several mispronunciations and I’m just not a fan of his thick accent.
Also, if the author said, “in the degree of”, one more time I was literally going to lose it.
The message of the book is good, but the author sites no evidence or resources. Had a friend not recommended he book, I wouldn’t have finished it.

Love the message but she tends to ramble on about the same point over and over. Like it overall.

Loved it!
Revisado: 02-04-17
I would have never picked this book for myself... But I'm in a book club and someone else picked it. I'm very glad they did! It's really well written and quite entertaining. Especially if you grew up in the 80s!
I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much had a read it as opposed to listening to it. There are tons of "gaming" and 80s minutiae that I could see myself getting caught up in. Mr. Wheaton made that much more enjoyable than I think I would have done. Enjoy!

Historia
Patty and Walter Berglund were the new pioneers of old St. Paul - the gentrifiers, the hands-on parents, the Whole Foods generation. Patty was the ideal sort of neighbor, who could tell you where to recycle your batteries and how to get the local cops to do their job. She was an enviably perfect mother and the wife of Walter's dreams. Together with Walter - environmental lawyer, commuter cyclist, total family man - she was doing her small part to build a better world.

terrible
Revisado: 01-26-17
What disappointed you about Freedom?
I'm not sure if the book is simply horrible or if it was the narration. Either way, I couldn't finish it.
What could Jonathan Franzen have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not make the women sound so catty. Maybe be a woman.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of David LeDoux?
a female
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
um, no
Any additional comments?
I'd like my 10 hours back.
