If you’ve listened to books by Elise Sax before, how does this one compare?

I have not ... this was my first

Was Man Candy worth the listening time?

Any additional comments?

If you could sum up Ren: The Monster's Death in three words, what would they be?

PERFECT

Have you listened to any of Tim Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

i have only listened to him as Ren in Sarah Noffke's series but he's PERFECT as Ren
I love his style of reading and he brings the character to life
HE IS REN

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

i moved to tears when Ren was with his Mom again

Any additional comments?

I LOVE REN LEWIS!
I LOVE SARAH NOFFKE!
I LOVE TIM CAMPBELL as REN LEWIS!

first of all, let me say this ... if you haven't read or listened to any of Sarah's books ... you really SHOULD!
trust me, you will not regret it but you might regret not doing so sooner! 😉

Sarah is one of those authors you need to read, you need to own the books and the audiobooks and anything and everything associated with them! SERIOUSLY!
This woman is a genius and it's not just my opinion either ... I love her books so much i have gotten my friend hooked by buying her a few of the audiobook sets ... SHE is now hooked

Sarah's books need to be in TV or MOVIE format! WHO THE HECK DO I HAVE TO TALK TO ABOUT THIS????
seriously, anyone know?

This book, REN: The Monster's Death, wraps everything up nicely and emotionally! (have tissues ready) and has a GREAT segue into the next series (Awesome .. can't wait)

I love Ren Lewis ... he's not the kind of man you DREAM about meeting but i think if you are blessed enough to meet someone like him you'd certainly feel that way ... blessed!
I do admit you'd have to appreciate his mind, his sarcasm, his dark whit, his ego and his pure awesomeness!
I dare you not to read or listen to his story and NOT love or adore him!

this book was the most emotional for me to listen to but it filled me with a lot of hope and warmth

Ren's stories have some surprisingly great life advice in them ... no, really, they do! and I often found I smiled or felt better for listening to his words ... Ren isn't a man to give stupid advice nor is he one to offer it all the time so when he does, it's always worth listening to ...
(psst, Sarah ... some of his advice is advice i've often given before ... Ren and I have some of the same ideas ... I must be awesome too ... haha)

I do hope this isn't the last of Ren .. a cameo? something? Gosh, it's like losing a friend but one you are grateful to have met and one that made you a wiser and better person for having known ... Thank you Ren
XO

Thank you Sarah for bringing him into my life

Ok ... I need to write a letter to those movie/tv ppl in Hollywood

Dear movie and tv producers,

PLEASE read Sarah Noffke's books, you'll love them! TRUST ME!
these stories will make amazingly wonderful and entertaining tv/movies for the whole family ...
These stories are creative and unique and I promise you that you'll be thoroughly entertained by these relate-able characters that are also extraordinary with their abilities and the challenges they must face to save their world and ours!

These stories are easily compared to others like Hunger Game, the divergent series, twilight, the mortal instruments, etc ... addictive and delightful tales

and of course, REN's stories .. that's more of an adult story but i know I'd love to see who was cast and how it would look on my tv screen

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator shouldnt have tried accents!
All her Scots sounded like old men or women and sometimes i couldn't understand a word she said!
a slight accent would have still given the listener a thrill

Could you see Finding Fraser being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes ... absolutely!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

there are two narrators and I wasn't very fond of Leeroy Will's reading of the story although his characters were ok, I didn't enjoy the descriptions he read

Honey Scarlett was great and I really enjoyed listening to her parts of the story

Any additional comments?

I am not sure how i feel about the sound affects ... in the beginning i found them very distracting but further on they weren't so bad

Overall, the story is good but the narrations and sound affects have me on the fence so i gave that a middle of the road 3/5 stars

Which scene was your favorite?

Callan's experiences when entering Coralie's old house and his actions after

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes and no ... there is so much emotional pain and healing in this book that i couldn't have sat through it in one sitting

Any additional comments?

*** I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the narrator ***
This book was dark, sinister in ways that are unfathomable and yet realistic, abuse and love and so much hurt and healing ...
it was an emotional story but with beautiful poignant moments ... love and hope and happiness

I have to admit i was a little disappointed with the narrators choice for other characters (Callan and Coralie were great...she captured the emotions perfectly ) but with every other actor she made them sound drunk or slow and it missed the mark on personalities and emotions from those characters ... not a huge deal but it was hard to take those characters seriously

this story isn't going to be for everyone ... it was hard to listen to at times ... abuse, fear and loss in full colour ... not muted for sensitivity

Would you consider the audio edition of Feversong to be better than the print version?

no, I think either would be equally wonderful

What was one of the most memorable moments of Feversong?

When Danny and Dancer finally were together!

Have you listened to any of Jim Frangione and Amanda Leigh Cobb ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is the first time

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did! I laughed, I cried, I got tense (literally, my jaw hurts from clenching! LOL)

Any additional comments?

I have loved KMM since her first book but this is the first audiobook I've listened to ..
What a great way to experience her books!
The audio is fantastic ... LOVED IT!

What made the experience of listening to Paralyzed the most enjoyable?

Sarah Noffke's ability to write a very detailed and vivid story!

Would you listen to another book narrated by Steve Barnes?

I might! I did not enjoy his narration of this book or the previous in this series ... I found his low, slow , almost mysterious/evil narration gave the story the wrong atmosphere ... often times his sentences had spaces due to this style of reading and this style doesn't fit all the characters

Any additional comments?

I love Sarah Noffke and her dream travelers and the dream traveler world is MARVELOUS!
I recommend all her books to those who like a creative fun-tastic world of reality and fantasy all smashed into one
While this is a YA book it does have adult language and situations ... I don't feel like it's just for Young adults but for anyone who loves a great story!

What three words best describe Steve Barnes’s performance?

Any additional comments?

I love Sarah Noffke's stories and this one is just as wonderful and captivating as all her others ... still in the world of dream travelers but in a different community, different circumstances
Sarah is a gifted story teller and I love her stories and look forward to escaping into her worlds (ALL of which really need to be on a big or small screen) She writes magically and poetically, her characters are complex and brilliantly described, I can visualize them even down to small mannerisms
Mystery, suspense , intrigue, emotional ups, downs and challenges ... this story has it all
...SADLY, I didn't feel those things while listening!
Steve Barnes is a new narrator for me and perhaps I expected too much after listening to Sarah's other audiobooks ... I was left irritated, unfulfilled and emotionally lacking!
I am aware that I am going against the grain and opinion of so many others but I felt that Steve's reading of Suspended was like listening to an over dramatic late night corny radio station that reads love stories, or talks about love ... blah blah ... with the low slow sultry-like sounds.
I think he was going for a mysterious and intriguing sound but this story is told mostly from young adults/teenagers who know nothing of that tone or depth of mystery
They don't speak like that even when they are dramatic!

To me, it was creepy and just didn't fit the story
while he tried to give everyone a different voice, he narrated each characters part with this same tone and it was confusing and also didn't fit all the characters personalities or the feelings of those parts ... Most of these characters weren't suspicious, mysterious, or dark in any way but rather they were happy, thoughtful, funny, and yes, confused at times, sad, lonely, etc but they would not have thought in this style ... there were so many fun and exciting moments that were not read to the full potential due to this tone
I felt his narration of emotions didn't fit most moments/scenes and I was saddened by this
Steve reads well, his words clear and I am sure he's a wonderful narrator for some books but i really wish he had done this book differently

That being said, I love the story and look forward to continuing with the next audiobook!
