Excellent story - very slow naration

I love this story. It is very easily in my top two favs of all KA's books, and I love them all! The narrator, Felicity Munroe, does a fantastic job. Her voice is perfect for the character. She has great inflection and volume level. That being said, when listening on Audible Manager (which is my only choice while at work) the pace is verrrrry slow. It makes Kia sound slower than she is. It's almost unbearable. If I hadn't read it before listening, I wouldn't finish it. When I switch to listening on my phone, I can increase the speed to a much more bearable 1.5 speed and it is much better.

For those that are able to listen on the window's app that streams, you can also adjust the speed, and there would be no problem.

I forgot how much I really enjoyed Lady Luck!

I just did a re-read of this amazing story, mixing reading and listening. Your heart just really breaks for what Ty went through, so it’s awesome to watch him get his happily ever after. And the same for Lexi. She is just as deserving of her happily ever after.

The family these two put together and create for themselves is just beautiful.

I’ve had a hard time finding my perfect Lexi, but Ty, holy firefighter is he hot. I’ve really enjoyed pinning the crap out of him to my pinterest board. And let me assure you, I would have no problem taking him home to mom and dad ;)

The narrator, Emma Taylor, does an amazing job.

Wow, just wow. First things first, Do NOT listen while at work! {lesson learned}. Unless you can wear head phones.

Now, the story, H-O-T. Seriously. And it's a Novella, NOT a Prequel. I would honestly be interested if it were to turn into a full length novel, but if it doesn't, I'm still blown away.

The narrator, Ava Lucas, is amazing. Does definitely has the voice and tone for a book like this, and she does amazing on both Lilah & Kane.

This was my first Ava Lucas narration, as well as my first Jeanne St. James book, but it will not be the last for either!

This book, seriously! Just, ugh!!!! The end gives me chills every time!

I usually don't like when a book jumps through time, but this was done so well, it only enhanced the story.

I was unable to put the book down both times I read it. This time I listened to audible, and it was just as amazing. The narrator was terrific and the volume was steady, which is important when listening at work.

Seriously, the first time I read it, I finished in one sitting and as soon as I was done I went back and had to reread the last couple chapters to prolong the feelings.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with Sebastian York as a narrator. Seriously, I'd listen to him read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica. He's just amazing, with an amazingly sexy voice.

Mister O is also just a funny, awesome book! Read it or listen to it, you can't really go wrong with this one! I mean, it's a cartoonist and a magician, after all!

- Slate and Erica -

This is one of my all time favorite reads. Aly is amazing, period. But this story just does something to me.

This time I listened to the first half, then switched to reading the rest. Though I didn't LOVE the narration, I didn't hate it either. Slate was absolutely fine. But Erica, I liked the low husky voice in the beginning, it was appropriate then. But I feel like it wasn't what I expected for the whole reading. I would definitely listen to the narrator again, like I said, I didn't hate it. I just wish she would have used other inflections/tones at different points. And maybe she did, as Erica came out of her shell some, but I had to switch back to reading by that point. Not because of the narration, but because of circumstances, listening just wasn't ideal.

Thank you Aly for writing Erica and Slate's story. It is a beautiful one, even if it starts out ugly.
