A Cute Story

An enjoyable Holmes story for the holiday season. one I will save for next Christmas for my niece who has just been introduced to Sherlock Holmes. I know she will thrill to the explanation of how Holmes solved the theft. Stories like this are a fantastic way to introduce Holmes to younger children. I hope there are some more I can buy for Kathy. she will devour them.

Excellent book!

It was enjoyable, covered all the high points of Washington's life. it was a pleasure to find a book on Washington that didn't taint his biography with the modern habit of judging him by current standards. Washington was shown as a man of his era.
jwish the book had been a little longer.

Watson Received His Reward!

Having listened to Sherlock Holmes and Lestrade, I purchased this story. While Holmes remained true to character,

Watson was an insufferable twit. His snide remarks were a distraction and did not help the story along. The best thing that happened to him was his encounter with the CLOWNS. I think everyone should listen to this story just to learn what they did to Watson. It was perfect!!!

A Charming Story..

It gives listeners a chance to see the humanity of Holmes. Too often he's presented as a machine without any feelings. It was nice to see his character fleshed out. I wish more stories dwelt on that aspect of Sherlock Holmes!

SH Solves another Crime

An okay story. SH is well written and even Lastrade comes off better than he's written in the movies. A relaxing way to spend some time while locked away at home because of the virus.

One Spectacular Cat

My aunt bought this book for me to read over the Thanksgiving break. It was great. I love the attitude of the cat, it's so much like my TOBY. Not that he would have the energy to solve anything except the location of his food bowl. The mystery was exciting and the new PI 's brush with death kept me waiting to learn how the cat and Grandmother would save her this time. For a small town it seems to be populated with some greedy, unsavory characters. The book is very entertaining and I kept reading ( well listening till it was done). I think it should be added to the reading list for school. At least there would be fun while doing the assignment!!

Curfew Must Not Ring

Excellent reading of a poem first learned in highschool. I haven't thought of that poem for a great many years. Heading it again brought back a great many memories.

The best reading of Hound of the Baskervilles I have heard. Everyone should buy a copy for themselves. It was marvelous waiting out the blackout from the latest storm.
