Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math-whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can't afford to pay for. That's Jess' life in a nutshell - until an unexpected knight-in-shining-armor offers to rescue them. Only Jess' knight turns out to be Geeky Ed, the obnoxious tech millionaire whose vacation home she happens to clean. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages...maybe ever.

Revisado: 11-17-14
Would you consider the audio edition of One Plus One to be better than the print version?
not necessairily. but it is easier to work and listen than read written form
Who was your favorite character and why?
Its hard because each character had some qualities that I liked or found interesting
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
It was ok, but I downloaded in "2" when it would have been better I think in "4" at least qualitywise.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes but was easy to keep up with in bits and pieces. I listened to it more than once without getting bored, found some parts I had missed
Any additional comments?
humorous, touching, and just a really good listen

Where does You Belong to Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
about middle, it wasn't bad and it kept my attention at work.

What three words best describe Laural Merlington’s performance?
smooth, clear, and non-irritating
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

disappointed
Revisado: 03-03-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I was really hoping for more from this book. The main character made me want to spank her and tell her to keep quiet. The writing about the times was almost like they were trying to outdo The Help. I really was disappointed, good books are supposed to encourage a reaction when you read. However I could not get involved with these characters, they just did not have enough depth.
If you’ve listened to books by Susan Crandall before, how does this one compare?
no I haven't, but one book that I do not like does not mean I won't try others.
Did Amy Rubinate do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Yeah she's ok.
Could you see Whistling Past the Graveyard being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No
Any additional comments?
I was just let down after reading all the glowing reviews.

Historia
People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

Revisado: 09-24-13
Would you consider the audio edition of A Dirty Job to be better than the print version?
funny you should ask. I read the book two times and still found stuff in the audio version i had missed.
What did you like best about this story?
the humor (one of Moore best stories) and the narrators grasp of the characters.
What about Fisher Stevens’s performance did you like?
He was clear even when doing a Russian or Chinese accent. He sounded like he was having as much fun reading it as I was listening to it.
Who was the most memorable character of A Dirty Job and why?
Charlie, he is just trying to cope and all of the sudden life is on him in all kinds of ways.
Any additional comments?
this was such a good audio. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who likes humor and a good story.

Revisado: 09-24-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
the story was okay but it began to feel like the author was trying to teach me a lesson and i wanted entertainment.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
this could have been a series and taken many different turns, but it didnt and after awhile it was depressing.
Have you listened to any of Tom Stechschulte’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no, he wasnt bad but I think the story was my main problem
Was The Returned worth the listening time?
not really, i did not even finish listening, it became a drag to listen to

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I have not even finished it yet and I would recmmend it.
What did you like best about this story?
the story is varied and humorous. It kept my attention, I even backtracked to relisten and make sure that I got the story right with all the relationships. I read the reviews and was pretty hesitant to listen because of negative narration comments. But I fund i enjoyed the accents and different tones the narrator gave the characters.
Have you listened to any of Lynn Chen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no
If you could rename Crazy Rich Asians, what would you call it?
the title is perfect.
Any additional comments?
give it a try it is definitely a good "listen".

hmm never thought of that...
Revisado: 09-08-13
What made the experience of listening to The Sparrow the most enjoyable?
Good narration but with this one the story starts to take shape and make me want to orderr the full book. I had not thought about all the aspects of what happens when someone returns. In this one, I had a lot of questions. Do they remember their deaths? Will the evil and the innocent return? And the "centers" is this shelter for the lost or detention centers? Would you want to leave heaven to sit in a detention center?
If you’ve listened to books by Jason Mott before, how does this one compare?
Just the prequels, but I am going to get the full book soon
Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?
I liked the young woman, but the girl was not my favorite in narration terms.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Aroused my curiosity

What did you like best about The Engagements? What did you like least?
the stories were interesting and not just a lot of sappy romance. Nice long listen. wasn't crazy about narrator.

the diversity and build up of the intertwining stories. I was interested enough to not only listen while at work but at other times too.
What three words best describe Kimberly Farr’s performance?

Was The Engagements worth the listening time?
yes
Any additional comments?
I use the audiobooks to pass time at a mundane job. I stand for 8 to 10 hours, this helped pass the time and was interesting.
