Good YA fare

I enjoyed this story quite a bit even though I don't usually seek out Steampunk or YA as a general rule. The narrator is very talented but some of the male voices seemed very similar to me and hard to separate. To be fair, there were many characters she had to juggle. I would recommend this highly to younger listeners and anyone older (like me) who enjoys a look back now and then.

Like all good space opera, it is a little over the top at times. It is a good story though and involving. I usually gravitate towards longer audiobooks and avoid serials, so it would be nice to see an omnibus of these at some point.

What did you like best about Dead Island: Operation Zulu? What did you like least?
Interesting twist (Americans vs. Russians vs. Zombies) on the typical zombie story.This would have been better in print or film.
Too many characters to follow and as a result you don't get invested in any. I imagine this also makes the narrator's job very difficult.
Several small (but distracting) issues, for example, don't describe zombies as unfeeling monsters and then talk about putting them out of their misery or ending their suffering.
Overall, a good background listen while doing other things, but not something I at least got drawn into and wouldn't have been able to put down.
