This unique multi-voice recording brings the first book in Lemony Snicket's alarming A Series of Unfortunate Events to such terrible life that no one should really have to experience it.

Meh
Revisado: 04-11-17
Having been abused growing up, I had a really hard time listening to this.I had to ask a friend if it got better or worse which has made my decision not to finish the series because its just too much. I dont understand why kids like reading about abused kids but anyways performance wise the narrator is okay but there was a lot of back ground noise bells, people chatting, water running sometimes all at the same time while the narrator was well narrating and it was hard to grasp the words and separate them from the noise.

THE FEELS!!!!
Revisado: 05-20-16
I'm crying oh I'm just a wreck right now! This book oh the ending oh the leading to it! I hated the Heir, I despised Edyln, I thought there was nothing Kiera Cass could do to get even close to even comparing this to the first selection books... But she has gone and proved me wrong and turned me into a bauling mess over here! It was just amazing and oh the twist with one of my favorites oh how I hate him now and the twist with one of my least favorites, and the even bigger reveal Lady Brice plays a major part in this book now Don't do what i did and half way through the book search who she is! It will totally be worth it when you find out on your own! This book oh gods highly suggested, now if you'll excuse me i will go back to crying out of joy in the corner.

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. And it certainly isn't the only point of confusion for the young girl. Because though she's made her choice between Dorian and Chaol, the ways of the heart are never simple...

There was about 1/3 of the story where I was just bored to tears. But the rest was wonderful, not as great as Court of Thrones though.

Great story
Revisado: 12-15-15
While it's very sad, the end is quite hopeful. It's not how I imagined it ending. A lot of my friends have read this and said they couldnt put it down. Unfortunately as soon as I found out why clay was on the tapes, I could and didnt come back to it for almost two weeks. But it is a great book with a great story and message.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 12-01-15
What made the experience of listening to Throne of Glass the most enjoyable?
Good, but could've been better. Once people started suggesting this book to me, I looked into it hearing it was about an assassin, I became uninterested. Finally I decided to give it a shot and it was not as I expected. I do love fantasy and kingdoms but I was no expecting this to be something I like. It reminds me of the Selection but instead of girls fawning over the prices heart, 24 criminals are competing to be the kings assassin. The King in this story reminds me more of Red Queens king and that love affair. Seemed scattered towards the end with random pieces everywhere it became a tad difficult to understand it while multitasking. But it is a good book and I intend to finish the series

Historia
The series takes place in a world similar to our own but one where vampires, witches, werewolves and shape-shifters live among humans without their knowledge. These supernatural races make up a secret society known as the Night World, which enforces two fundamental laws to prevent discovery: 1) Never allow humans to gain knowledge of the Night World's existence and, 2) Never fall in love with one of them.

My favorite Book
Revisado: 11-25-15
I haven't read this in a few years and I've only read the one but i honestly sounds like it could be the first book in the series. This was my first audio book and is the book I suggest to all of my friends when their looking for fantasy but not something popular. The narrators tones for the males like Morgade arent very well done but still one of my favorites.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder - much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing - not even a smear of blood - to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

Great book
Revisado: 11-22-15
While its a great book with a great story, I have heard so many amazing things about this book. I am probably the last of my friends to start the series for the first time and its not as amazing as everyone makes it out to be. I will still read the series but its not my favorite book. Performance was great the great the woman was able to go from English to American accent not problem as well as male tone. Great to listen to!

Great book for anyone
Revisado: 11-11-15
While thid is a mystery book I think it's great for anyone even if they don't like mysteries so long as you're up for the long series. It's a quick read, you could get at least 3 of the books read in one day if you really wanted to. With the main characters young kids, it's perfect for children but also great for young adults. The series is written by several different authors, Rick Riordan known author of several series including the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. This is very different from his usual works yet like always very well written. The ending is a bit confusing but does lead us into a bit of Grace's life and where the story could lead. I don't know how long the series is, but I can't wait to read the next book.

Historia
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother's mysterious death, he's lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he barely knows - a man his mother claimed was dangerous. Uncle Randolph tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god. The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday.

Revisado: 11-09-15
While the norse myths are very different from Greek, I find it wonderful that Rick pulled Annabeth (PJO series) into this story. There are many similarities between Magnus and Percy Jackson, but I do love the change to Norse mythology and I can't wait for the next book!

Copycat
Revisado: 10-10-15
I haven't even read Red Rising yet, but it's obvious that this is basically the same thing but instead of gold, silver and instead of a male character, female. The story is well written but I knew this was a 4 book series when I started reading it and at first I honestly didn't understand how it could be more than one or two books. It was stretched way too much and that's only this book, I'll probably read the second one when it comes out but its still a tad annoying that it seems like the author just kept pulling and pulling for a full 29 chapters. I also don't like Meir's name the author seems to be copying both the Selection and Red Rising without exactly plagiarizing them and I'm not found of it.
