Historia
New York City. With a population of almost 19 million people, it’s easy to remain anonymous - even if you’re a serial killer, torturing and murdering beautiful young women. The killer has another victim right now, locked in a basement somewhere in the city. For NYPD detectives Turner and Marcinko, it’s their job to sift through those 19 million and narrow their list to the one before it’s too late. And they’re sure they have the right man in their sights.

Slightly disturbing, yet weirdly captivating
Revisado: 04-14-16
What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings the story to life and makes it more real and disturbing, yet captivating too. Still, I'm glad it wasn't longer.
Any additional comments?
I knew fairly fast I was being tricked, but never saw this end coming.

Historia
The superlatively analytical Inspector Hemingway is confronted by a murder that seems impossible – no one was near the murder weapon at the time the shot was fired. Everyone on the scene seems to have a motive, not to mention the wherewithal to commit murder, and alibis that simply don't hold up.

An old love revisited
Revisado: 03-08-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Light and amusing with a charm that has lasted. The story is a classic who dunnit with the usual upper class suspects, a victim that has it comming, the always irreverent Hemingway and Heyer's usual supply of flawed, amusing and sometimes downright hillarious players. And of course the usual sideline of love story/stories that resolve themselves into the couples that should be.
What was one of the most memorable moments of No Wind of Blame: Inspector Hemingway, Book 1?
Vicki's histronics
Any additional comments?
I've loved Heyer's books since I was a teenager. While a lot of my loves from that time hasn't kept well, Heyer's crime books has that certain charm that keeps them from feeling dated.

Historia
Steve and Orson are back in this cracked sequel to Hell's Super, book two in the new satire and humor series, Circles in Hell. This time, the guys must fix Hell's heating and air conditioning (HVAC) system, which has failed. Hell is getting progressively colder, and things are a lot more serious than devils and demons needing to put on some sweaters.

Also an amusing little book
Revisado: 03-05-16
What made the experience of listening to A Cold Day in Hell the most enjoyable?
It's still an easy and amusing listen and probably not for the devout. The story is more even, still not that deep and the snarky style works pretty well. And I want a BOOH of my own. And I'm off to the next one.

Historia
Steve is hell's super, its handyman. Being Mr. Fixit to the underworld keeps him and his assistant, Orson Welles (yes, that Orson Welles), pretty busy, since things go on the blink all the time down there. No malfunction has ever created so much inconvenience, though, as the malfunction of hell's escalator, which leads from the pearly gates to the depths of Hades. What's worse: The breakdown appears to be sabotage.

An amusing little book
Revisado: 03-05-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It's an easy and amusing listen, but not for the devout. The story is a bit uneven, though BOOH and the descriptions of Hell balanced out the sillier love story. It drew a few giggles, but mostly smiles. I went straight to the next book.

Entertaining enough

What does Amy McFadden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I found this story while searching for another book read by Amy McFadden (that wasn't too soppy).
Any additional comments?
A promising writer. While the ending was fairly predictable, I still enjoyed the listen.

Liked the book, loved the audiobook
Revisado: 10-04-15
Would you consider the audio edition of The Palace Job to be better than the print version?
Yes
What about Justine Eyre’s performance did you like?
I just loved the voice and the way it all came alive
Any additional comments?
I am eagerly awaiting the next audiobook. Meanwhile I'll read the next one. It was a pleasure reading a fantasy book that caught the imagination and did not insult my intelligence.
