Couple of my favorite authors!!..I have read all 18 Pendergast books,including this one .. This fictional character is a most southern polite complete gentleman, with a quaint soft spoken heavy New Orleans southern drawl,but you dont want to be on the wrong side of the law and tangle with him, you won't win, he means business,and knows exactly what he's doing..FBI Special Agent A.X.L. Pendergast is the man of your dreams, and very articulate,well read in the ancient arts and old Tibetan rituals and teachings which he uses to his advantage for survival,and he's so very mysterious. I love this Character! These books top and are among my favorite series..They are adventure,mystery,action, with a tinge of fringe science and supernatural all rolled into one, fast paced, and will keep you on the edge of your seat,and make you want more! .In my case I have all the audiobooks I listen while I paint or drive,or just whenever I can, I cant wait for the next book to come out! If this is your cup of tea I highly recommend this series!! Also try Ron Ripley books, and David Longhorn, and Ambrose Ibsen, just to recommend a few,they also have series books....Read this series Special FBI Agent Pendergast, you wont be disappointed I promise!!!

I really like how Ron Ripley incorporates his other characters from previous novels, into each story, especially Shane Ryan.I like the rough and knowledgeable Shane Ryan character,but I hope Shane quits smoking lol😄. I hope there's a book 7 in this series, I'll be on the look out for it😁 Thanks for a great series,kept my attention and on the edge of my seat, I felt like I was pulled into the story and was a part of it, that makes for a great book!👍 Ron Ripley is among my favorite authors! I'll be looking for more books by him!

loved this series! I love Ron Ripley, looking forward to reading more of his books..I'm worried about Shane Ryan though,lol he smokes too much! I want him around in some other stories lol I don't want Mr.Ripley to kill him off.. I'm about to get Ron Ripley's new series "Moving In" can't wait to start it..Ron Ripley books are awesome!

I just finished this book, AWESOME!! I'm getting ready to start the 2nd installment (Cold Vengeance) of 3 in this mystery of Helen series.. I give 5 stars!! in everything!! Yes, it left you hanging,which meant there's more to come!! I read some of the reviews and I don't understand how anyone can be bored with this series. Some said they were disappointed because the storyline wasn't real to life, and was unbelievable,! seriously?? lol They weren't meant to be real to life, they are books, a story to entertain, reading is a relaxing escape!! Its also important to read ALL the books from start to finish starting with book 1 Relic.,to get the gist of all the characters and follow the storylines and the ups and downs of their lives..

This special FBI Agent is , Indiana Jones, Allan Quartermain, James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, and MAcGyver all rolled into one to give you a brilliant character, Special Agent A.X.L Pendergast! Then it gets even better, if that's even possible, he's also a rich stately soft spoken southern gentleman, with impeccable taste and southern manners, and has the personality that demands respect!! He wasn't meant to be real life people!, he's a character of entertainment at its best!! I love all the characters, and have followed them all from book 1.. I love Lt. Vincent D'AGosta, but like everyone my favorite is Pendergast! He handles himself very well considering all the tragedy he's endured in his life, starting with how he was raised and all the mystery and tragedy his family harbors, and his brothers attempt to destroy him.

I'm going to be upset when I have finished reading all 15 books, I'm getting ready to start book 11 and the 2nd installment of 3 in the Helen Mystery. I only have 4 more books after that to read in the Pendergast series, so I'm going to discipline myself and savor them and string them out hopefully into summer. I hope by then book 16 and maybe 17 will be out,that would be awesome!..I will sit down with my cup of Cappuccino ,my adult coloring book and gel pens :) lol and turn on my audio book and be pulled into the story for hours willingly, with the adventures of Special FBI Agent A.X.L. Pendergast as I always do. As I sit on the edge of my seat and enjoy the breathtaking roller coaster ride!! :) I LOVE IT!! Like I said this has been the most awesome books I have read in awhile, the last good series I read were Wayward Pines..

I sure hope there are many more Pendergast novels on Lincoln & Childs writing agenda!! I'm looking forward to reading dozens more!! 5 stars in Overall, performance, and Story!! I just wish I could give more stars!!.. For the ones who were bored and didn't like the story because the story and Pendergast got to science fiction and unbelieveable and not real life, well, perhaps you should be reading biographies, this isn't the reading Genre for you. Such a pity to, because you're missing out and can't enjoy the books as merely entertainment!! Keep up the good work Lincoln & Childs!!! I have many more of your books in my audio book wish list I plan on getting, but the A.X.L. Pendergast books are the best!!!! Thank you!!!!

The most awesome books ever!!

OMG I'm going to be so sad when I finish book 15 and have to wait for book 16 to come out,and hopefully it does and soon!!.. I read Relic many years ago in paper back,I remember it as a really good book,it stuck in my memory as all really good books do for me...So when I joined Audibles and ran across Relic I decided to get it.What I didn't realize when I decided to listen to it is I had no idea there were 2 other books relating to Relic,book 2 Reliquary" and book 3 "Cabinet of Curiosities" plus many other books with the awesome character of Special Agent Pendergast, I was elated to put it mildly!! lol. I'm on book 8 at the moment, I couldn't tell you how many times I've stayed up all night saying to myself, "just one more chapter, just one more chapter" over and over and end up staying up all night because I just couldn't stop listening to these books! I do though recommend listening to them in order,although you can if you want to listen to them out of order as each book is a stand alone story. But many of the main characters in each book carry over to the next book and new story line..To get the most out of the books and to really understand the characters and who they are than I recommend listening to them in order beginning with book 1 "Relic". These books are well worth your time, keeping in mind they are stories meant to entertain with twist and turns that make you go GASP!! lol It doesn't matter if they are plots and story lines that's not apt to happen in real life, they are meant to entertain,and they certainly do the job of keeping you on the edge of your seat, drawing you right into the story and make you feel like your part of the story and know each of the characters personally. At the ending of each book your begging for the next book, Preston&Childs are awesome writers!! I give my rating in "Overall, Performance. and Story" all 5 Stars and if there were more options for Stars I'd give MORE stars. I'm on my 8th book and it will also get all 5 stars..I'm going to be upset when I finish book 15,hopefully by the time I start book 15 book 16 will be out and maybe book 17,I'm keeping my hopes up and fingers crossed!!
