A beautifully told slice of coonass-life in the great swamp lands of Louisiana. You don’t have to be from Louisiana or even the south to enjoy this story of one man’s life growing up in Louisiana before spreading his wings west to California.
It’s about the lessons the author learned from watching the rise and fall of his larger than life father while raising a house full of boys.
Ultimately though, it’s a love letter to his father, his family, and the uniquely wonderful state of Louisiana.
