Historia
Dan’s first tournament may have ended, but life goes on. His luck is still with him in his regular life as well, and it seems to be endless. However, he is surrounded by very smart people, and surely one of them is going to start doubting his talents, at least a bit? Especially now, with a new game about to start. The latest foes are even more dangerous than the last and the rules are still unfamiliar to him. Dan wonders how reasonable the rules are in the first place. Is it really possible to take a competition that lasts a couple of hours at most seriously?

Book 1 worked as an MMO/RTS. MOBA though? Really?

Protagonist backs into success
Revisado: 02-16-25
I thought the first book was okay but this one just gets under my skin from the "I don't know what's going on but I will work hard comrades" attitude to the look what an obvious genius the main character is and listen while I explain in detail.
I had hope but was seriously let down. Maybe because it was translated from a foreign language but the dialogue just rubs me the wrong way.

Historia
When George is transported to a far-future Earth, he finds himself caught between two very different species of humanity: the Amphibians, dwellers of the deeps, who can also maneuver on land; and the giant Dwellers, rulers of the large island that constitutes the surviving major land mass, whose main settlements lie deep beneath the surface. With the help of one of the Amphibians, George goes looking for any sign of two earlier time-travelers, neither of which has returned.

What did I do to deserve this?
Revisado: 09-12-12
What disappointed you about The World Below?
The story seemed to have a lot of promise but the language used was so stilted and odd that listening to it drained me and I just couldn't force myself to finish the second half. I wish I could get my money or time back.
Would you ever listen to anything by S. Fowler Wright again?
I would have to be convinced.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Yes, it sparked anger, sadness and disappointment...
Any additional comments?
I previewed this review and thought I might have been a bit harsh, I went back and listed to some more of the story, up through chapter 24, and remained unhappy and bored with it and convinced that it was not for me.
I don't know if I will choose an unrated book from an author I haven't read again.
