Historia
Jerusalem is the universal city, the capital of two peoples, the shrine of three faiths; it is the prize of empires, the site of Judgement Day and the battlefield of today’s clash of civilizations. From King David to Barack Obama, from the birth of Judaism, Christianity and Islam to the Israel-Palestine conflict, this is the epic history of three thousand years of faith, slaughter, fanaticism and coexistence. This is how Jerusalem became Jerusalem, and the only city that exists twice - in heaven and on earth.

Just wait. You'll be hooked in five minutes. It reads like a detective story - which it really is, but it's all true.

listened to this for 24 or so hours and was riveted to my headphones.
There are books you are exposed to and once you are done they don't enter into your mind again then there are those audio books that at the end of the presentation you go out and buy the printed version so you can dig through the pages and the foot notes for further sources of reading.
This is one of those books.
Fractional Reserve Banking will be my new rabbit hole.
if you feel lied to every time you read a headline, and the narrative never seems to make good sense, this book might help you get closer to some answers.

Maps have a mysterious hold over us. Whether ancient, crumbling parchments or generated by Google, maps tell us things we want to know, not only about our current location or where we are going but about the world in general. And yet, when it comes to geo-politics, much of what we are told is generated by analysts and other experts who have neglected to refer to a map of the place in question.

We have been there and we did that.
Revisado: 10-06-22
Geopolitics explains allot. when we study economica to help explain the world it becomes clear that politics are just below the surface tuging and pushing to influence the outcomes in the favor of one nation state or another. Economics always seemed to me to be somewhat of a mystery or an illusion trying to be defined by modern monetary theory in a way to justify political deficits or by Austrians trying to define limits to rational spending. I always saw politics as a full contact sport in the pursuit of resources, influence and power but it was not till I got older and discovered their are aditional influences that define how and why economics and politics are applied to push countrys to war. This book is a good starting point to understanding those other influences. The ones our grandfather understood naturally.

For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. Finally, we reached the point that almost anything you could ever want could be sent to your home within days - even hours - of when you decided you wanted it. America made that happen, but now America has lost interest in keeping it going.

Ok, this will need more looking into.
Revisado: 03-24-22
It has always seemed like there were deep underlying currents moving public opinion that propaganda was working to act upon.
If this is so, Prechter may be quantifying this flow. If this is the case, Socionomics will be a very valuable tool to judge truths and protect oneself in the future.
If my last statement proves true, it will be profitable as well.

Eminent China scholar Elizabeth C. Economy provides an incisive look at the transformative changes underway in China today. Chinese leader Xi Jinping has unleashed a powerful set of political and economic reforms: the centralization of power under Xi himself; the expansion of the Communist Party's role in Chinese political, social, and economic life; and the construction of a virtual wall of regulations to control more closely the exchange of ideas and capital between China and the outside world.

Good listen, in becoming my habit of looking through history to discover new insight given by the pasage of time I chose this title and was richley rewarded.
Spend the time with this read then ask yourself some questions.
Why do progressives become so ugly when questioned?
Why do they become even uglier when they don't want to answer the questions you ask?
Does the response seem a bit dishonest and extreme?
What could that mean?
