overly dramatic and unrealistic

The main character is such a cliche. She's very whiny and immature. She hates guys but falls in love with a guy in 3 days. The dialogue is cringey at best and unbelievable at worst. Nobody adult speaks or acts the way that this book is written.
The narrator was not a good choice for this book. I've listened to other things that she's narrated before and have enjoyed it, but that's because it was about teenagers. This book is from the perspective of a woman in her mid-20s. It's overly dramatic, and the writing does not help the performance.
I honestly did not want to finish this book, but I always have to finish what I start. I hate to leave a review like this, but I honestly wish I had never listened to this book.

I love Cara bastone! Her stories are always so wonderfully written. An auditory pleasure!
This story in particular was very unique. A bit tricky to follow at first, when you first get introduced to the characters, but it all makes sense after a few minutes. Of course, the ending is predictable (who wants to listen to a romantic story where the characters don't end up together? nobody), but how the ending was achieved was truly unique!
Well done Cara and well done Audible! I cannot wait for the next story by Cara Bastone!

I've read this book at least 3 times and have listened to it twice! This tale never gets old! I absolutely love The Lunar Chronicles series. A unique twist on classic tales. Some plot points can be a bit obvious, but there are twists you don't quite expect.
If you're looking for a fun, exciting, clean, and unique story, this is it! Suitable for all ages!

It's such a cute story! I really enjoy Cara's work and I think this has to be my favorite written by her! I always love her stories because they are an auditory pleasure...it feels like you're *in* it!
my only complaint is with the audible playback. on my phone, it skips entire sections, something I didn't even realize until I was happening until I listened through my echo dot. so that was a bummer.

In three days I’ve listened to of her books! I love the way these are written and produced! I really enjoy all the extra sound effects…the foley artists had fun with these I know! Wonderfully written and a cute story!
