No one expected Ragnarok. The miles-wide meteor fell from the sky in 2030, taking most of humanity with it. The lucky ones took refuge in the Bunkers. The unlucky ones had to deal with the meteor's aftermath...and the alien virus it unleashed. Now, that virus is evolving, creating an army of mutants and monsters, mixing Earth genetics with something...not Earth. As humanity struggles in the wastelands of what's left, it might already be too late...unless a band of young heroes can rise up, and fight.

For Hudson, the virtual world of PrimeVerse isn't all bad. It's beautiful, much nicer than overpopulated Earth. It almost feels like a vacation except for the volatile wildlife, lack of any amenities, and—oh yeah—the inability to log out. Exploring the world, learning his class, and leveling skills is all fun and games until a powerful rogue player with a vendetta shows up to wipe out Hudson and his primitive tribe. Thrust into a conflict he didn't create, Hudson is forced into a cycle of respawning where he learns that even death can be used as a tool. So much for that vacation.

The Blue Dagger Society saved the city of Tristholm from Vitaria's minions and defeated the evil under the mountain. Keeping the Etheric Coast free of Vitaria's influence was going to take more aggressive measures than pounding a hammer into some steel. It was time to throw down with a goddess. Knowing they had their own goddess standing right behind them made Tim feel more optimistic about their chances. Eternia's influence was growing with each one of their victories. With the Goddess of Light standing behind them, how could they lose?
