Hard to get into (Spoilers in my review) Sorry

This is the first book of this series that has me struggling to get though it, at one point I fell asleep reading it. And one chapter was just a lot of discribing rooms.. It didn't get good until like chapter 50 for me.. This book had 3 stories going on... and the back of the book is misleading as John never figured out who he was in this book, but just had flashes of the past.. But a little weird and creepy as the fact that if John is Darius and was there when Xhenx had been born, that's like father being with daughter right? IDK.. Felt like this book was all over the place..
