Historia
Repressed scholar Percival Endicott Whyborne has two skills: reading dead languages and hiding in his office at the Ladysmith Museum. After the tragic death of the friend he secretly loved, he's ruthlessly suppressed any desire for another man. So when handsome ex-Pinkerton Griffin Flaherty approaches him to translate a mysterious book, Whyborne wants to finish the job and get rid of the detective as quickly as possible. Griffin left the Pinkertons following the death of his partner, hoping to start a new life. But the powerful cult that murdered Glenn has taken root in Widdershins, and only the spells in the book can stop them.

Narration Needs Some Work.
Revisado: 04-10-17
How could the performance have been better?
There were many parts where is sounded like the narrator was talking into a paper cup, just this bad distant echo type sounds. It was off and on, as though narrator had recorded one bad session, then a good session, and then a bad session. It was quite annoying and muddied the experience. I am hoping that the sound will improve for the rest of the series.
Did Widdershins inspire you to do anything?
It made me want to rewatch the 1997 movie The Relic, which involves a semi-human/animal monster in a museum.

Historia
Jory Harcourt doesn't have to go looking for trouble. Wherever he goes, it seems to find him - particularly when his partner, Sam Kage, is working undercover on a federal task force. After the recession forces him to close his business, Jory goes to work as a matchmaker and event planner. From there, it's only a matter of time before his big mouth and up-front attitude make him the rope in a tug-of-war between a trust-fund baby and a drug-smuggling criminal.

I Loved The Narrator :)
Revisado: 03-17-16
What made the experience of listening to Bulletproof the most enjoyable?
I actually really really liked this narrator and had a hard time understanding all the bad comments. It is really annoying to have the narrator for a series constantly changed, but I think this narrator did a fairly good job and I have no problem listening to this book over and over again.
What other book might you compare Bulletproof to and why?
Every other book in the series of course! They are all fantastic.
Any additional comments?
It annoyed me for a while that it took hours for Sam to make an appearance and even then it was all of ten minutes. I wanted more Sam, but really I dont think anything could have been cut out for more of him to fit in. In a perfect world this book would be like five hundred pages, I really just like reading/listening to their day to day life and the shit Jory ends up causing or getting in the middle of.

I Wasn't Expecting That - Its Not A Bad Thing
Revisado: 03-10-16
Would you listen to Heart in Hand again? Why?
I absolutely loved it, so I will listen to it over and over again. I have never read/listened to a story like this before and it was the best adventure to kind of be a part of.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love Simon Kim and just how he dealt with things, he didn't freak out, he just kept asking questions and trying to move forward.
What about Andrew Schwartz’s performance did you like?
I know a lot of people have been complaining of his performance for this series, but I actually really enjoyed his performance and had no problem differentiating the characters from one another.
If you could take any character from Heart in Hand out to dinner, who would it be and why?
It would be Raphael. I love the snarky bastard and think he would be a very interesting character to try to have a character with. I know Simon kept getting frustrated trying to have a conversation with him, but in the end he likes Raphael too.
Any additional comments?
Well bravo to Mary Calmes for the world building in this one. I loved hearing about Hell and everything that goes on in it. I could easily listen to/read another story in this version of Hell.

Historia
In the distant future, humans wage war against the alien planet Caeorleia, with no tactic off-limits if it will help the humans get their hands on Caeorleia's resources. Ask Ryker. He thought he volunteered for a simple experiment that would help his government in the war. He didn't realize sadistic doctors would turn him into the experiment - by injecting him with blood from a captured Caeorleian, Seral Iorflas.

A Pleasant Surprise!
Revisado: 01-16-16
If you could sum up The Experiment in three words, what would they be?
Aliens. Sex. Revenge.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Experiment?
The first time Ryker was being examined by the doctors on Caeorleia and then later had to explain some of what he had endured while being on the ship prior to arriving on Caeorleia. The entire scene was emotional and my heart bleed for Ryker.
Have you listened to any of Shaun Leonhardt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not prior to listening to this book, but he did an amazing job (especially considering all the foreign words) and I will for sure be looking for other books narrated by him.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A hero with nothing to loose... or so he thought.
Any additional comments?
I don't read alien books, but my friend had gotten this audio book and had been giving me text updates over how ridiculous this book was. It made me really curious, so I got it thinking it would be awful. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case. I found instead that the book was incredibly well thought out with lots on interesting characters, scenes, and a ton of originality. I liked everything about it.
Its not perfect, some things could obviously be tweaked, but for the most part it was fun to listen to. If there was a little more humor maybe to balance it all out, it would be perfect.
I know there is a published sequel and I hope more then anything that it is turned into an audio book as well.

A Must Buy!!
Revisado: 02-06-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Until Forever Comes to be better than the print version?
The audio is much better then the print! I have read the print version several times before I purchased the audio, and I have to say that the audio makes the book way more hilarious than I had felt it to be.
What does Charlie David bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I was not expecting such range in voices for all the characters. I was especially not prepared for the voice of Miguel, it took a little getting used to, but once I was used to it, I loved it! It has been the best voicing for characters I have heard so far.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed many times while listening to this. Ethan makes the most hilarious statements and comments, that when heard out loud are even better.
Any additional comments?
The only thing that might drive someone nuts, it did for me a little, is that some concepts are over explained. For example, the concept of "true mates" didn't need to be explained as many times as it had been.

Some Faults To Point Out
Revisado: 02-06-15
Where does Falling rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The narration is okay. I understand that narrating an entire novel might be difficult, but it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to make the voice of the main characters different, even just slightly. Sometimes I would loose track of which character was speaking until there was comment made about or to another character.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Falling?
The scene at the Lake, I knew it was coming, but I got excited waiting for it to happen. All the internal dialogue leading up to it made me want it to come sooner.
What three words best describe Charlie David’s performance?
Okay - Needs Improvement.
Any additional comments?
I'm listening to this on both an app on my laptop and an app on my phone, several times towards the end of a chapter, it would repeat the last 30sec of dialogue. It can be kind of annoying.
