Plot has Potential, but Narration ruins it!

The author has an amazing plot, and a re-write would definitely be possible due to the amount of repetition. Her attempt to be different causes the vocabulary to be more laughable than I assume was wanted. (ie. Teleportanta) Throughout the entire series, I had hoped it was just one of the many mispronounced words the narrator spoke. I love descriptive stories because they allow me to become immersed in the book and the writes world, but when 5 or 6 different words are used to describe something, it feels forced. Meaning I got the impression the author wrote with a thesaurus next to her. In my opinion, the author has an amazing imagination and has created a world I would love to visit, but she didn't go in depth enough with the scenery to bring me along for the ride.

As for the narrator, I am embarrassed for the author and audible for the lack of professionalism she brought to the table. I feel no one reviewed this before allowing it to be released. It sounds ands if she is eating or chewing gum throughout the entire series. Simple words were mispronounced. An overabundance of pauses in the wrong places caused so much confusion for me that I had to rewind way more than I liked to the point that I gave up and just trudged through. When she did catch a mistake and corrected herself, it was not edited out. At times, there was background noise left unedited. I could go on, but there's no point. She should practice more before she is put on paid books. It took me 7 days to listen to 34 hours when normally it takes me about 2-3 days.

The narration was perfect, brought the story to life. It was perfectly descriptive but not overly. It allowed for imagination.

Captivating until the end!

You feel as if you are ther in the mist of the action. The author draws you in making you feel like you are part of the story.

The reader keeps the voices clear and steady, allowing you to always distinguish between the characters.

A must read! Don't miss out on this. I actually read the first book, but will definitely purchase it here. I can't wait to listen to it and book 3!

Had me smiling to myself!

I loved this book. I couldn't stop smiling. The author was detailed enough that it was like I was in mystic bayou. The characters are warm , funny, and make you want to live there. My only disappointment is that it is fiction, which I had to keep reminding myself. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a book this much. I couldn't stop listening. I can't wait to start book 2, please hurry and write book 3.
