Pulp fiction plot “Wokefied” into one dimensional, trite, infantilized, preachy, patronizing plot to make a buck.

Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Will The Real Reacher please Rise
Revisado: 06-14-24
Having read all the original Lee Child books I feel both the character and the author worked better as loners. Hard to say whether it’s because I read all first works in hard copy but listened to those with son. Audio performance is way too histrionic for my taste! Recent Reacher and story lines just seem less gripping and son’s contributions only moderating rather than improving the franchise.

Still, police are reluctant to launch an investigation. If a mysterious vigilante is making their jobs easier, why stand in his way?

Characters never came to life for me, roused no empathy despite reaching for every formulaic emotional box to check. As usual everyone is a victim, relying on paper cut-out prototypes to save the plot lines day

Historia
FBI agent Patti Rogers finds herself paired with the unpopular former agent on a task force investigating the killing of Supreme Court Justice Henry Venter. Reeder - nicknamed "Peep" for his unparalleled skills at reading body language - makes a startling discovery while reviewing a security tape: the shooting was premeditated, not a botched robbery. Even more chilling, the controversial Venter may not be the only justice targeted for death.

Story line, dialog, performance bring new meaning to the words inane, childish, cringeworthy, especially the female characterizations. Found it all unbelievably amateurish.
