The reason "sinners" ran from the religious, yet ran to Jesus had everything to do with his heart's attitude toward people. They could sense Jesus was for them - not against them. Unlike the Pharisees, who could only see the mud of sin, Jesus saw a masterpiece under the mud that was so valuable, he was willing to give his life to restore messy people to the original work of art he created them to be.

Inspiring book.

As I listened, I was inspired to make changes in how I approach people at work who are struggling. I realize how judgmental I have been. I need to look at the masterpiece God made instead of focusing on the mud. I intend to go to the website to see what info and resources are there. Thank you for writing this book.

Brought back memories. I lived and worked in Flatbush from mid 80s to mid 90s. I remember the crime and when crack became prevalent but had no idea these things were going on. Thank God for all the people involved who were willing to bring some justice for these men.

I found myself getting angry at the judicial system/lawyers in this book frequently. Thankfully there were women who were willing to stand up to the system and fight for justice.

I saw the title of this book previously and didn't think it would be something I would enjoy but I loved it. I appreciate the authors sense of humor. I also felt the narration was well done and thoroughly enjoyed listening to her. I have listened to the book twice and plan to listen again.
