I have always loved watching the Food Network show “Barefoot Contessa.” I love watching Ina & her husband, Jeffrey, they really do entertain the show! I just finished listening to her memoir &, I have to say, it was a wonderful audiobook to listen to. Both Ina & Jeffrey have had quite a lot of adventures &, they’re still having them after all these years! God bless them both. I also love how she read her own autobiography! Thank you, Ina, it is a fabulous book! I recommend it!

It’s A Wonderful Autobiography!!
Revisado: 04-10-23
I just finished listening to actress Karen Grassle’s wonderful narrative of her own autobiography! I’m a huge fan of “Little House On The Prairie,” &, I loved listening about behind the scenes of the show, but was surprised about how her life was like behind the scenes. It’s a wonderful audiobook to listen to, &, I love how the author of her own book is the narrator as well! Thank you, Karen Grassle, for giving us the chance to listen to your own words! I’m legally blind, so I enjoy listening to audiobooks especially in f the author narrates their own book!

A wonderful audiobook
Revisado: 07-21-22
I have been a fan of “Little House On The Prairie” since it first aired in 1974. I loved the actors &, I still watch the show. I listened to Melissa Gilbert’s first memoir, “Prairie Tales,” &, I throughly enjoyed it. I loved her description of behind the scenes of her show & TV movies. Especially my favorite movie she starred in with Patty Duke, “The Miracle Worker.” I just finished listening to “Back To The Prairie,” & I loved it. I loved how she describes how she & her husband had created their own “Little House On The Prairie,” I love the way she took care of their chickens. Overall, a wonderful audiobook to listen too. I’m legally blind, so I’m grateful to use this wonderful service called audible. I love how Melissa Gilbert narrates her own book! Thank you, Melissa Gilbert for your new, updated autobiography, &, thank you for narrating your book too, I enjoyed it. &, I hope this review helps. Thank you, audible. It’s well worth listening too.

Historia
It is the spring of 1527. Henry VIII has come to Hever Castle in Kent to pay court to Anne Boleyn. He is desperate to have her. For this mirror of female perfection he will set aside his queen and all Cardinal Wolsey's plans for a dynastic French marriage. Anne Boleyn is not so sure. She loathes Wolsey for breaking her betrothal to the Earl of Northumberland's son, Harry Percy, whom she had loved. She does not welcome the king's advances; she knows that she can never give him her heart.

A wonderful audiobook
Revisado: 04-05-21
I’m not sure if I wrote a review in this audiobook before, I believe I had listened to it a few times. But if there isn’t a review I wrote, so then, here it goes. I loved listening to this audiobook. Alison Weir is a wonderful English author of The Tudor era. I loved how she allows the characters portray themselves as events occurred in the 1520’s to 1536. It took me awhile to listen to the entire audiobook, but well worth my time. Thank you, Alison Weir for a wonderful audiobook. I kind of wished this could be made into a movie. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves listening to audiobooks. I’m legally blind, so listening to audiobooks on audible helps a lot. I give this audiobook a 10 star rating. I applaud the person that narrated this, she did a fabulous job. Thank you very much. Looking forward to listening to another book from Alison Weir.

Historia
"Good people, I am come hither to die, and by a law I am condemned to the same." These were the heartbreaking words of a 17-year-old girl, Lady Jane Grey, as she stood on the scaffold awaiting death on a cold February morning in 1554. Minutes later, her head was struck from her body with a single stroke of a heavy ax. Her death for high treason sent shock waves through the Tudor world and served as a gruesome reminder to all who aspired to a crown that the ax could fall at any time.

A great book to listen to
Revisado: 03-10-21
I thought this was going to be a novel like the author, Alison Weir wrote, “Innocent Traitor,” instead it’s a biography of Lady Jane Grey. I have to admit, I enjoyed listening to it. It’s too bad they’re aren’t anymore audiobooks about Lady Jane Grey. I find her to have been a person living in the 1550’s England a tragic story in which she had no control over in that period. It’s a great audiobooks & I give it more than 5 stars. I liked the person that narrated the audiobook too. Being vision impaired, I love listening to audiobooks. Thank you, audible.

Historia
The child of a scheming father and ruthless mother, Lady Jane Grey is born during a time when ambition dictates action. Cousin to Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I, she is merely a pawn in a political and religious game in which one false step means a certain demise. But Lady Jane has remarkable qualities that help her to withstand the constant pressures of the royal machinery far better than most expect.

I listened to it more than once!
Revisado: 02-26-21
I’m into the Tudor era history. I’ve always been fascinated with the life ot16 year old Lady Jane Grey, 9 days Queen of England. I love how the author lets the characters speak for themselves, to tell their story of events as they happened. I knew it was never Lady Jane’s fault for accepting the crown, she never wanted it. It was forced on her. I’m a fan of watching the Showtime series “The Tudors.” After listening to this audiobook, I’m surprised the series didn’t add Lady Jane! I hope someday this book would turn into a movie. I have listened to this book more than once. I’m legally blind, & I enjoy listening to audiobooks on audible, thank you, audible for having this wonderful book. I recommend this audio book for anyone whose into Tudor history or just want to have a good book to listen too. Enjoy it.

Historia
From age 11, in 1974, until she left the show, in 1981, Melissa Anderson literally grew up before the viewers of Little House on the Prairie. Melissa, as Mary, is remembered by many as the blind sister - and she was the only actor in the series to be nominated for an Emmy. In The Way I See It, she takes listeners onto the set and inside the world of the iconic series created by Michael Landon, who, Melissa discovered, was not perfect, as much as he tried to be. In this memoir she also shares her memories of working with guest stars like Todd Bridges, Mariette Hartley, Sean Penn, Patricia Neal, and Johnny Cash.

Revisado: 08-11-20
I’m a huge “Little House On The Prairie” fan. I’m 49 years old & I still watch it today. I had been waiting for Melissa Sue Anderson’s book to come out on audio format. Thank you, auditable books for having her book on audio format. I’m legally blind & reading printed books I can’t do anymore, so I have to listen to books. I loved listening to books, &, I love this book because actress Melissa Sue Anderson goes “behind the scenes” of the show she starred as Mary Ingalls. Thank you, I love this book. I just wished you have actress Melissa Gilberts book “Prairie Tales” available on auditable. Maybe someday. Thank you.
