Strange book. Overall it had a chance to be interesting but never quite got there as story dragged on where it should have been quicker and vice versa. Narrator was AWFUL 😩 why she picked that accent and voice WTF 😳 and do they not review the narration prior to release. Even though I do not suggest this book I am currently reading Book 2 and same 🚩🚩🚩🚩there are way better choices and I understand why this is 🆓 listen on Audible

Great for 12 year olds.

I’m not sure how this book has great reviews. It’s written as if they’re talking about 12 year-old girls or junior high please. The narrator is awful. The story is immature and the book isn’t even complete. 20 chapters and most of them are eight minutes long please Audible do better.

FMC ugh another simpering , yelling fool

Ok the story has such great building potential but my gos so much wasted inner dialogue like I don’t need THAT MUCH description of your tear falling. For someone who KNOWS who they are and been imprisoned for 12 years they incredibly DENAE TO THE OBVIOUS. This was almost a DNF for me but if I suffered thru 12 chapters by god I was all in. I will not go further in this series good luck Lor on you quest

This book started out with promise however, quickly faded. The MFC is ridiculously obtuse and angry like get over yourself already and MMC isn’t must better. After about 10 chapters I was DONE

DMF FOR ME

I could not get past about chapter 8. FMC to angst ridden and MMC too arrogant. Every scene drawn out to where you’re either rolling your eyes or disconnected from the story all together. As this is a spinoff from a series perhaps the main series is better but this isn’t it

Wonderful story

This story was definitely a great read! While the MMC had a great voice actor the female character narrator , sounded a bit too mature for this character. I have heard this narrator in other stories and she didn’t sound this mature over all great world but would have loved a bit more building of the Undine home-world as well as the Ancients THEY HAD TOO BRIEF a moment and no real build up or backstory. HOWEVER it is WORTH the read and I look forward to the next book !!!!! ❤️

The story is good and had great potential. FMC is annoying in her denial LIKE OMG ALL THIA IS HAPPENING TO HER and she can’t get it together. I think if I would have just read the actual book in my hands it would have been better

Dark Romance Coated in Gothic Elements

Romance, gothic Victorian undertones that allow you to step in a world built in every dark romance readers dream. MMC FMC are both interesting and like-able which is becoming more and more UNCOMMON. Loved this book and hope to see more from this author.
