Gets you in from the first page…….
Revisado: 04-19-25
Another brilliant book by Harlan Coben. He is the master of a complex who dunnit, I stayed up way too late listening as I had to know how it ended. Lots of twist and turns and all the ends are tied I. Well.

Historia
Sports Agent Myron Bolitar is in his new office on the top of a skyscraper in New York when two FBI agents ask him this very question. The man they refer to is a top basketball player and Myron's former client and old rival. Greg's DNA, they tell him, has been found at the scene of a high-profile double-murder, and he is now their main suspect. It can't be Greg, Myron tells the two agents: the reason he is Myron's 'former' client is because Greg is dead. He died three years ago of a heart attack. Myron went to his funeral and gave the eulogy.

Love Myron and Win’s characters
Revisado: 06-16-24
Lots of twists and turns in this one, but throughout the characters of Win and Myron stay true and remind me why I love this series. I wanted to keep listening but at the same time didn’t want it to finish.

Riveting storyline and great narration
Revisado: 04-09-23
It is very rare I give 5 stars, but this book deserves it. So many little twists and turns before the whole story is revealed. I couldn’t stop listening, and yet I didn’t want the book to be over. if my attention wandered (as I am often multitasking while listening) I rewound to make sure I didn’t miss a clue. Steven Weber is a great narrator which definitely adds to the book. I also love the little tie in of Hester to Harlan’s other books. Save this for a long drive!

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Great book and narration by Tai Hara
Revisado: 04-25-22
Great book, heart wrenching but unfortunately an all too accurate portrayal of what many families have had to confront when a family member is mentally ill. I love that this book though also shows the capacity for love that some people who have been through so much still have.

When the head of San Francisco's largest HMO dies in his own hospital, no one doubts that it is anything but the result of massive injuries inflicted by a random hit-and-run accident. But the autopsy soon tells a different story - an overdose of potassium killed him, and the attending physician, Eric Kensing, becomes the prime suspect in a high-profile homicide.

Another good book in the series
Revisado: 03-06-14
I like a book with a few good suspects like this one, and I especially enjoyed that it strayed from the Hardy formula, in that the client did not go to trial.

Unbelievable premise for a love story
Revisado: 02-09-14
I struggled right from the start of this book at how a smart, law abiding main character can fall in love with a thief, and although I enjoyed the mystery, the attraction of Miranda to her thief was too unbelievable to really get me in.
