George Orwell's classic satire of the Russian Revolution is an intimate part of our contemporary culture, quoted so often that we tend to forget who wrote the original words! This must-read is also a must-listen!

Historia
First published as articles in El Sol in 1929, the essays in The Revolt of the Masses serve as a prescient analysis of a 20th-century creature - the "mass man" - and the mass society that he makes up. With strains of Jamesian pragmatism and the sociology of Gustave Le Bon, Ortega shows how technological and political changes reduced Western civilization to the lowest common denominator and made it susceptible to the pressures of statism.

Revisado: 06-26-23
Must read for every member of a society who (for whatever reason) is still willing to have a future for our children. So full of clear and precise observations, so full of thoughts that could be used for a great utility.
And this book is from 1929.

When George finds a way to escape the spacecraft Artemis, where he has been trapped, he is overjoyed. Surely now he can return to Earth. But when George touches down, he knows immediately that something is wrong. There’s a barren wasteland where his home town used to be, intelligent robots roam the streets and no one will talk to George about the Earth that he used to know.

The story has a development.
Revisado: 01-22-23
Though the story about George has progressed dramatically in terms of plot complexity development it manages to retain some of the good “hive simplicity to sophisticated” vibe which is appreciative.
It’s it sad though that I’m this current audio adaptation sconce additions are put at the end and not into the places they are intended to be. However, it doesn’t ruin the unmistakable George series atmosphere. Thank you.

Historia
The Origins and History of Consciousness draws on a full range of world mythology to show how individual consciousness undergoes the same archetypal stages of development as human consciousness as a whole. Erich Neumann was one of C. G. Jung's most creative students and a renowned practitioner of analytical psychology in his own right. In this influential book, Neumann shows how the stages begin and end with the symbol of the Uroboros, the tail-eating serpent.

Brilliant ideas from a brilliant mind!
Revisado: 12-23-22
Look, there’s a lot (and I mean it, a lot) to think about even after about 70 years from the first publication. Must read for ones who are not indifferent to the topic of conciseness and of keeping up with it through both group- or individual-related journeys.

A real treat
- De Eric Shields en 02-08-08
I am not the targeted reader I guess.
Revisado: 11-25-22
I assume the book would fit as a treat for not experienced readers which could place their own inner beauties to the empty, rudely carved story sockets scattered across this novel.
Yet I prefer to read a story that talks about something on its own. Yet there are thousands of such stories.
(There are a lot of much better books even if sticking to the strict young adult category).
But it’s a good work anyway. Just not the best.

Revisado: 09-17-22
I have accidentally watched a movie made on this story when I was about 12 and I was being shocked by its deep, inevitable truth even then, at my 12.
Now I’m 40 and I am still confirming the precise and sharp look of the author onto the subject.
The great stories are the ones that will not leave you unchanged. And this is a great story.

Experience Hamlet as a powerful full-cast drama with entertaining and enlightening commentary that explains what's what and who's who as the plot unfolds. To help you get the most out of Shakespeare, the narrator offers historical insights and background information, so you can enjoy the jokes, appreciate the references, and get a real sense of Shakespeare's world. The unabridged drama is also presented without commentary.

Worth every second of listening
Revisado: 10-06-20
I have never been exposed to the original Sandman universe as dc comics were not available in my country at the time of my teenager years, however, being a fan of Gaiman's work for many years now, I found this audioexperience very immersive and spectacularly enjoyable.
It worth every second of listening.
