Historia
A spanking-new tin can, secretly placed among the rows of Mrs. Florence Gentrie's preserves, contains not a speck of food - but it does carry one very damning clue to a murder that took place right next door. Such an unsavory discovery in such an unlikely place can't help but pique the curiosity of a dedicated mystery hunter like Perry Mason.

Historia
In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next.

Historia
The 25 years between the onset of the French Revolution in 1789 and the Bourbon Restoration after Napoleon in 1814 is an astonishing period in world history. This era shook the foundations of the old world and marked a permanent shift for politics, religion, and society - not just for France, but for all of Europe. An account of the events alone reads like something out of a thrilling novel.

Insightful ... Inspiring ... Incisive...
Revisado: 06-13-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This work is one of the best cocktails of history, story telling and analysis. It walks you through the entire history without boring you with minutiae ... but at the same time, not missing out any relevant detail.
Professor Desan is very articulate; and her energy is palpable - which makes the narrative more engaging and absorbing.
Which character – as performed by Professor Suzanne M. Desan – was your favorite?
well .... I think I am no different.... the usual suspects .... Danton... Robespierre ... and Napoleon!

Historia
When Russian President Valeri Volodin's ambitions are foiled in Dagestan, he faces a difficult choice. The oligarchs who support him expect a constant flow of graft, but with energy prices cratering, the Russian economy sputters to a virtual halt. Unable to grow the Russian market at home, his hold on power relies on expansion abroad—a plan that has been thwarted by the United States in the past. But this time Volodin has determined that an indirect approach is the best.

Insipid Coffee
Revisado: 06-13-16
What would have made Tom Clancy Commander-in-Chief better?
Its is the story my dear .... weak and insipid coffee .... no body ... all foam... The author meanders all over the place and then kind of weakly attempts to tie the different events together...
The two core characters: The US and American Presidents are not well developed... and there is too little of Jack Ryan ...
This book is more about the campus.... I was hoping more about the President...
Has Tom Clancy Commander-in-Chief turned you off from other books in this genre?
No really ...
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It has it's moments.... but they are far and few...
