This is a spooky/dark fantasy anthology where each story has some connection to each 12 Zodiac signs! I really loved the stories and the narration! Must listen!

GOOD Book-Not revolutionary-But Good

This is overall a good book. There's nothing outwardly special about it, the plot or the characters, but it does the fundamentals really well. The writing itself is good, I liked and related to Violet a lot as being a chronically ill & fragile woman who's 4'11 but got the attitude of someone 6'4. I liked her. Could there have been more development and a character arc, yes. Is the love interest a basic dark-haired grumpy sunshine? Yes. Again, it's not revolutionary. There's nothing groundbreaking or mind-blowing here. BUT it's still really good and I liked it. I do wish there was more of a bigger antagonistic force, but I'm assuming that'll come in the next installment. The dragons were sick, though. And speaking if "sick" I didn't think the narrator sounded bad at all, I liked her performance. If you've listened to her other books, she's just got a nasally voice. I thought her performance was excellent. Sure there's a couple times where you can hear a bit of...mouth sounds, I guess, but as a person who can't stand the sound of people chewing, I simply didn't even hear it. That's a preference thing, I guess.

Great debut!

I typically don't read dark romance, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was dark but not TOO dark in the sense that I felt uncomfortable in the ways some books of this category can create within me. The story overall was great, and I felt really connected to all the characters. It's so great to see a female lead who isn't lacking in common sense and actually has a personality. All the characters had great 6 and voice. The romantic lead was also a favorite, and I loved the chemistry between them. The mystery that's invoked kept me guessing till the end, and I CAN NOT WAIT for book 2 after an ending like that. Hurry, hurry!

I'd been waiting like everyone else for this one and am so pleased with all of it. Very satisfying ending to all that happened, but I think it did go a little too fast. I selfishly wanted more.

Pretty Good

Not the best one by Meyer, but a pretty decent story regardless. It had all the makings of a great story and knowledge of storytelling that Meyer is known for, but you can clearly see where she sorta...takes Inspiration from other superheroes. Not bad, but not fantastic. A solid one though, so if you like superhero stories, you'll like Renegades.

Such good EVERYTHING! GET IT!! Don't be dumb and think about it, just get it. The story, the world building, the tensions and the conflict. Nailed it all! THIS is good storytelling! And the narrator was GOLD!
