2019: Lucy awakens from a dream to find her hands around her ex-lover’s throat. Horrified, she flees to her older sister’s house on the Australian coast, hoping she can help explain the strangely vivid nightmare that preceded the attack—but Jess is nowhere to be found. As Lucy awaits her return, the rumors surrounding Jess’s strange small town start to emerge. Numerous men have gone missing at sea, spread over decades. A tiny baby was found hidden in a cave. And sailors tell of hearing women’s voices on the waves.

Wonderful and well written story!
Revisado: 05-03-25
I love Emilia Hart's writing style! sShe has such a unique voice. I love the way she highlights the struggles and injustices toward women, while preserving the humanity of mankind. She does a fabulous job of weaving in hope, the strength of woman, feminine rage, and magic into each of her stories. This book, like Weyward, tells the story of women in 2 different timelines and the shows the connections and the power of influence that women have over each other and the future generations.

Really great storytelling!
Revisado: 04-01-25
Wow! I was hooked from the start of this story! The author clearly did a lot of research. She took a lot of creative liberties which made the story so wildly different than any theories out there, so it kept me rapt and, dare I say it - I held my breath without realizing it! 😂

Wonderful narration and amazing story!!!
Revisado: 03-15-25
Wow! This story was incredible and intense. I just sat and listened for the last 2.5 hours, even though I had so much to do, I couldn't manage to do anything but listen. I kept finding that I was holding my breath and had to remind myself to breathe. Great story and wonderful narrators. David Tenant was amazing, as always. I absolutely recommend this Audible original!

Historia
I know Benjamin’s new business is in trouble, that he desperately needs your money. I saw the way Gwyn looked at him at your wedding reception, finding any excuse to be close, to laugh too loudly at his jokes. After all, she always wanted your perfect life. But don’t worry, Madeline. I won’t let it end like this. I can see everything from my place in the shadows between the trees. With their house lit up, they are on display. I’ll bide my time and worm my way into their home, their lives. They will never know the truth about who I am.

Amazing writing and great narration
Revisado: 06-27-24
I had a great time reading this book! The characters were well written and the dialog was fun, especially the British accents! I love stories where people find others like them and realize that they're not crazy, they're actually using magic and they just need to learn to control it. This was a really fun read and I would definitely recommend it!

Historia
Miranda Aldridge lives on a lean budget. A music student at Boston College, she focuses on playing the violin, holding on to a few close friends, and staying under the radar. Aside from a few bad dreams and tough classes, she’s fallen into the steady rhythm of a full-time student. Life couldn’t be more predictable or easily managed.
