Love the story and characters, only one issue...

Jana DeLeon doesn't disappoint, another fantastic fun mystery with Fortune and the gang. This is one of my all time favorite series.
That being said, I sincerely wish she would stop taking the lords name in vein so much. she doesn't use other foul language at all so why is swearing with "Jesus Christ" ok. I'd rather hear A$$ and $hit than that. it makes me cringe every time I hear it.
For such a talented writer that has been able to create a fantastic story without other foul language you would think taking the lords name in vein could also be avoided.

Excellently written as always, story doesn’t move

I love all of Ann Charles books, this one is no exception, it was excellently written and the story was good, but as far the entire story of Violet and the gang, nothing really moves forward. We don’t really learn anything new about Violet’s abilities, she still doesn’t know anything about time keeping. It’s almost as if Ann is writing so many books in so many different series that she’s not taking the time to actually progress the stories. Not to say I won’t still read (listen) to all of her books (over and over again) I just wish this on was more substantial. And as always Caroline Shaffer is fantastic!

Worst book by R.J. Blain, horrible narration

I have read and listened to quite a few books by R.J. Blain, some are better than others but this one is the worst by far. I’m sure the narration being so bad is part of the reason I feel this way but it’s just boring and jumps around too much. I started off thinking the narrator was ok until I realized she only has one voice for male characters and you never know who is supposed to be talking.

A good read, not a good listen

I really like RJ Blain books, they are funny and enjoyable to listen to... as long as you have a good narrator! Nicole Blessing is an ok narrator but NOT for RJ Blain books. Please go back to Courtney Holly.

Fantastic audio book and start to a new series
