Historia
"What does a workplace utopia look like to you?" This is the question Dr. Ella F. Washington asks company leaders, and often she hears about an ideal vision of an organization that values diversity and inclusion and wants employees to bring their whole selves to work. But how can you get there? Organizations have largely missed the mark when it comes to creating environments where all employees thrive in an equal and equitable way, because they treat diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a program that gets done rather than the necessary and difficult journey it is.

Great content, terrible narration
Revisado: 07-01-24
I enjoyed the messages and anecdotes in the book. There were a lot of gems in terms of how to think about DEI efforts, address naysayers, and how to execute culture change. The narration seemed like AI. The pronunciation, timing of speech, emphasis on the wrong word, etc made it sound like a robot was reading. That makes it harder to understand and listen to.

Historia
Kids today are more gender fluent and expansive than ever before. In America, around two percent of teenagers (over 700,000) openly identify as transgender. As it becomes increasingly common for us to encounter and know transgender kids, as well as kids with more expansive notions of gender than past generations, it is vital that we have the tools we need in order to truly see and support them. Free to Be is an authoritative deep dive by internationally renowned child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Jack Turban into the science, medicine, and politics of gender identity.

Terrible narration! I couldn’t listen to this book.
Revisado: 06-24-24
I HATE it when narrators try to talk like babies. This narrator talks too fast at the beginning and then does “voices” that are terrible!

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Beautiful story with beautiful narration!
Revisado: 01-04-24
I was tremendously moved by this story. I love hearing the stories from women’s perspectives set in historical times. It reminds us all of the often untold but enduring impact of women in history. The narration was also beautiful as the voice of the characters with a French accent brings them vividly to life.
