Rough beginning
Revisado: 09-01-22
Too much being shoved into the story at the very beginning, trying to combine normal, fey and science fiction all together. Once focused on the story, fantastic! Ending was a little too pat.

I can see why Lift is his favorite character. She's hysterically funny! Good book all around. Can't wait to get the next one! Sanderson has been one of my favs since I read Elantris!

Historia
With The Alloy of Law, Brandon Sanderson surprised listeners with a New York Times best-selling spinoff of his Mistborn audiobooks, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. The trilogy's heroes are now figures of myth and legend, even objects of religious veneration. They are succeeded by wonderful new characters, chief among them Waxillium Ladrian, known as Wax, hereditary lord of House Ladrian.

Amazing!

Love, love, LOVE this series! The characters are fantastic and human (even the inhuman ones). Gotta say I wish I could find a Wayne in the real world! One problem...in the first 3 books Koloss were made from dead humans with no reproductive abilities so how can we have people with "Koloss blood"? Need a bridge for this.

😍😍😍
Revisado: 10-27-21
I LOVED this book! While I struggled at first (maybe due to my hectic schedule) I was so happy when I pushed through and finished it. The characters are very relatable and the story well thought out and plausible. The voice actors were perfect! The pauses in all the right places, the accents on the words one needed to pay more attention to. Truly splendid job that brought the characters further to life. This is not some fantastical storyline but it does have a happy ending with no loose ends. I will be going back and reading The Henna Artist and looking forward to it! 😍

Historia
Each night, the world is overrun by bloodthirsty demons. For centuries, humanity survived only by hiding behind defensive wards - magical symbols with the power to repel the demons. Now, the rediscovery of long-forgotten combat wards has given them the magic they need to fight back. In Tibbet’s Brook, the fighting wards have brought change, but the factions and grudges of a troubled past remain. Selia Square, the woman they call Barren, has long been the force that holds the Brook together. As a terrifying new threat emerges, she rallies her people once again.

This reading makes me very upset
Revisado: 05-12-21
I can't even finish this reading. I'm disgusted with the overblown Southern accents depicting ignorance.
