Adolescents always come through

It is so hard to believe that as a society we used to place people with physical disabilities in insane asylums. This story was such a powerful example of how just listening and being there for another person changes us. It also shows how it often takes a special young person to truly understand those who are different and not treat them differently. Such a powerful story.

Great story - hard to follow.

This is an excellent story of the people of Ghana, the slave trade in Africa and America, and the history of a family. The history was great information on a learning continuum. I learned new information about slaves and slavery in both countries. There were so many characters to follow that I honestly got confused who was who and how they were related. At times, I stopped worrying about the relation and just followed the story of the single person.

First hand account from a partner

I liked that the book was narrated by the author. It helped me feel her emotion throughout the story. I liked the information included from NAMI. The point of view of how mental illness impacts family members is so often overlooked. Thank you for telling all sides of this story. Recommend for anyone who has a partner or family member with bipolar disorder or any mental illness. I chose this book as part of BOOKIES DIVERSEATHON yearly book thin to encourage readers to read books outside their typical genre. So glad I did.

Loved the multi narration!

This was a quick listen for me because I was engaged from the start. I really enjoyed the story from both character’s points of view, rather than just one. The dual narration was also helpful!

Bookies, Facebook fan page, picked a good one with Still Missing! It's one of few audiobooks that I didn't have to restart multiple times! The story was engaging right from the start and I didn't figure out the whodoneit ahead of time. I am always with the police suspecting the boyfriend/husband! Great read!
