Can not get past the second chapter.

I’ve read most of her books and this one is beyond boring. I honestly could not get past the second chapter. The beginning never gets going to make you feel anything for the characters. The description of the book says it will have many other characters from other books make appearances. I feel like this book was not about the main characters as much as it was a story to bring her others characters into a story/any story.
I’m definitely getting my credit back for this one.

I wanted to like this. I just could not like Layla.

I have read so many of this author's books and have really enjoyed all of them. However, this book was just so awful due to Layla. The first 2/3 of the book just dragged due to how her character was developed. It made no sense as to why she dragged out her lies for so long. Really not sure what happened with this book as far as the author goes. Hopefully the next book will go back to normal.

Female Whispering Ruined Story

Maybe with a different female narrator I would have enjoyed this story more. I don't understand why Devon always feels the need to whisper dramatically through the entire story. Her voice ruins the story.

Unlikeable heroine

Staying away for over 20 years? No way. Mia stays away from Cole, but she does love him. I know this is fiction, but this is completely unbelievable. The performance was also off putting. The female speaker was constantly whispering when it wasn't called for. It just made her sound weak. This is definitely my least favorite books by this author.

Good story, weak female narrator

Male Narrator Terrible

The male narrator was terrible. It was like he was trying to whisper the entire time. He was almost monotone.

Miserable Sounding Female Narrator

I can not get past the third chapter because of the female narrator! She is awful!! I feel terrible for the author because I have no idea whether the story is good or not. This narrator ruined the entire book for me. I am definitely returning this purchase.
