The Mancini case has baffled the homicide division of the Kansas City police department for the past year. Detective Mark Johnson gets an anonymous tip and is hopeful that he can finally solve it.

A wealthy widow named Mrs. Stone decided to adopt her. Does Mrs. Stone get more than she bargained for? Is Beth and her mother a package deal? This is a short story with 3600 words. This is a story of the paranormal, but it is very sweet!

Listened while riding my exercycle, eyes closed. The author's soothing voice and adept use of adjectives had me visualizing people, places, and the general goings on. A good story.
