Historia
In this explosive new book, Sam Harris tears down the wall between scientific facts and human values, arguing that most people are simply mistaken about the relationship between morality and the rest of human knowledge. Harris urges us to think about morality in terms of human and animal well-being, viewing the experiences of conscious creatures as peaks and valleys on a "moral landscape".

Interesting to pair it with Christopher Hitchen's book "God is not great"
Revisado: 07-22-15
He does however spend a bit too much time on details of the church's abuse scandal. Just reminding us that it happened is enough without pages of graphic details.

Historia
Ensign Andrew Dahl has just been assigned to the Universal Union Capital Ship Intrepid, flagship of the Universal Union since the year 2456. Life couldn’t be better…until Andrew begins to pick up on the facts that (1) every Away Mission involves some kind of lethal confrontation with alien forces; (2) the ship’s captain, its chief science officer, and the handsome Lieutenant Kerensky always survive these confrontations; and (3) at least one low-ranked crew member is, sadly, always killed.

First half was hilarious...the second half...
Revisado: 07-15-15
It really needed to end before the final 3 chapters. It had an ending and then for some reason he just kept going. It's like the publisher had a minimum number of words.

Historia
Madison Spencer, the liveliest, snarkiest dead girl in the universe, continues the adventures in the afterlife begun in Damned. Having somewhat reluctantly escaped from hell, she now wanders the purgatory that is Earth as a ghostly spirit, seeking her do-gooding celebrity parents, fighting the malign control of Satan, recounting the disgracefully funny encounter with her grandfather in a fetid highway rest stop in upstate New York when she - oh, never mind - and climaxing in a rendezvous with destiny on the new, totally plastic continent in the Pacific called, not at all accidentally, Madlantis.

This was a truly awful book.

It seemed like the author's main goal was to talk about as many dirty disgusting things as he could. It wasn't even funny.

Revisado: 01-31-15
Also Heinlein's thing about daughters wanting to sleep with their dads is weird. It's in several of his books. Also a serious time piece of Heinlein being 'progressive' for the time about racism.

The chapter on sex was disturbing
Revisado: 01-26-15
Really really graphic with no need to be. We can understand some people get aroused by things other people would find gross without those acts being described explicitly.

"We did everything great"
Revisado: 12-20-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Having someone help you write this because you have no business writing a book. This writers are convinced they made no mistakes in their careers other than 'keeping certain people informed'. They include irrelevant detail after irrelevant detail while telling you nothing about the larger CIA or lessons to be learned. We do not need to know they enjoy watching masterpiece theatre or what kind of alcohol Ames drank or the fact that his wife kept calling people peasants based on what they wore. I have read dozens of books about the CIA this is by far the worst.
