better than expected. It's all in the presentation! The sultry female narrator was the key. Best to Slow chapter 6 down to .80 speed. If you don't , you will on second read!

Not as awesome as some reviews say, however...

It's GOOD, not bad, some good points made and ideas to ponder. Depends how you feel spending a handful of dollars. It was worth the read (Audible) in my opinion.
I did just read it a second time (@150% spd) and I did appreciate that it was not a waste of an hour.

Very relaxing. 3 lengths in one. Good audio.

It's a meditation guiding audio by any other name. But for someone who's heard very few, i think it was well done. It's multi-instrumentalist structure does make it more valuable and flexible. I liked it very much .

It's the Secret to Success; plain & simple

You can't Not read this book. It's mandatory reading if you're to understand anything about accomplishment and success (as well as the opposite ). Don't pass this by.

Good version of original; a bit overboard on Rules

4 for story/content because at some points, especially the sections talking about rules and consequences, it's overboard and overbearing in my opinion. I just press through those parts to glean awareness of that kind of up-bringing opinion and it always gets better with more take - aways. This is not a replacement for the original Five Love Languages book. You could read this in isolation, but it's not designed or intended that way. However, you could get away with just reading The 5 Love Languages for Men: Tools for Making a Relationship Great (yes even if you are a woman ... This is very close to the original and also includes a couple extra chapters on anger and forgiveness that lead into the Teenagers book nicely.

I have to add an explanation for the 3 for performance. We needed Gary Chapman to read this book. I don't know why he didn't. Chris Fabry is a fine narrator but I couldn't stay focused. It all started to sound the same. That is the problem with professional narrators whose heart and mind are not as into the book as the author would be. Everything about Chris Fabry is well and good except if you listen to him reading this book from start to finish you just might agree with me. blah blah blah blah blah and then I'm listening to Charlie Brown's teacher. I much prefer Gary Chapman books narrated by Gary Chapman.

In this Short abridged version of the actual 12 hour work, Hendrix hits Home on his key virtually confirmed theories on how and why love relationships can work out (and why and how often they don't ). This is a must read. Everything you need to know to succeed in love and marriage is in this book. You'll have to pause and rewind and ponder this content . It's not a light quick read. toward the end (chap 14 on) you'll need to sink your teeth into it and roll up your sleeves. twice through should be your minimum. I'm going for thirds shortly, but moving up to the full version, for the Rest of the story.

strong religious overtones aside, the concepts and examples and lessons are worth so much. one read through is adequate if you also get the various version ( for men for children for teens etc)
