The female lead made me angry

There is no way to look at the female lead other than unlikable, selfish, and honestly just awful. Penny's "jokes" weren't funny at all, they're mean, and border truly on emotionally and psychologically abusive. Eli deserves so much better than her brand of crazy, and she would have been better off alone. I had to stop with about an hour and 20 minutes left because I just couldn't take it anymore. What kind of adult (pregnant no less) runs away after saying I love you to someone and makes it out to be no big deal. Selfish! I love the narrators, but this story was NOT it.

I don't understand the hype

First, the narrator was great. I appreciate her ease and emphasis in all the write places. After that, this story was a long drawn out pile of when is this going to end. I don't understand where the "it's amazing" comes in. I made it halfway through the book and gave up. The female lead is beyond annoying, and the male lead is made out to be a weak doormat in the face of adversary. Not finishing it, and not wasting any more time on this series.

I loved this series. I purchased all the audible books as well as the written copies. The story and characters are immersive, and I would love more to this series!

Gem and Kate A+++++

I absolutely love this series. The narrator is one of my favorite, the character development has been wonderful thus far, and there better be Gem and Kate babies in the future or I may cry. I love them together! I'd buy 40 books in this series if she keeps writing them that long.

I love this series, however Kate's continued obsession with Gems money, and basically using it as a way to push him away is wearing thin. It feels like she's stringing him along with the excuse of a recent break up, over and over again. At this point, she's making me wish she just ends up alone, and Gem moves onto someone that appreciates him.

overall, story was good, great character depth and conclusion.

The decision to remove the original narrators and the female narration all together was the doom of this series. I was so confused all the time because I didn't know what person was saying what. Book one was awesome, by book 3 I couldn't stand the female lead so much to the point that I returned it after 4 chapters. She's an entitled, immature, spoiled, selfish brat, and Most deserved way better than someone that only thinks of herself.

I found this book hard to get through. I had no connection to someone so wicked to her children, that I found myself cringing a lot throughout. I finished it, but it was a huge effort to do so. I'm shocked it's rated so highly. and I don't think I'll venture into anymore books by this author. Narrators were good.

it's a no for me

I cannot stand the story line, and the narration was awful. I loved the first set of books with Cora in them, but this story with Daphne is so unrealistic and uncomfortable. How is someone so whiny and naive suppose to be a believable CEO of a company handed to her by Daddy? No thanks, after a few chapters, I returned it.

the whole thing makes me mad

The ONLY good thing about this book, is the narrators. Charlotte has the mentality of a 12 year old, her family is a bunch of controlling manipulative jerks, and her whining OMG ENOUGH!!! Spence who is suppose to be this Macho horn dog, comes off like a sniveling unfixable idiot with an anger management problem. It's so unrealistic, I gave up 60% through. This book is infuriating, and nothing like the first book in this series, Mr Masters. I'm not even going to attempt Mr Garcia after this.

narrators awesome however...

I'm struggling to figure out how this set has such good reviews, when the first book made me so mad I returned it before I even got to the rest! The lead female is so whiny, poor me, boo who. Not even trying to make it work when he gets drafted, seriously? Knox deserved someone that wasn't so selfish. I'll never purchase another book by this author, that's how much I hated the first book. The narrators were great, and that was the only great this about it.
