Do you like fights, progression, and life-or death struggles? Then it's time to move on to a different series because this book has none of that. All they do is eat dinners, socialize, and go on dates. I have liked the series so far, but this book doesn't have anything to offer.

Amazing Bundle, Great Read

This book series is some great progression fantasy in a well-constructed universe. Rules make sense, and it seems like a place you might actually want to live. Characters are fun but feel real. The combat and scenarios are exciting, and I like the character builds and the way they fight. Excellent buy, 90+ hours for 1 credit.

Good book, drags a little.

I enjoyed this book. It offers an innovative type of sci-fi combat and progression with intense and compelling characters. However it does have some unnecessarily long and pointless chapters. For example (minor spoilers ahead), descriptions of fights between 2nd and 3rd year cadets who we don't know and might never see again.
The boom takes a long time to get rolling but overall a fun and exciting story.

Read about half the book before I quit. The book has some cool dystopian environments and good action. The main characters are teenagers who are smarter, faster, more attractive, tougher, stronger, etc than anyone else in the book by leagues. Makes for a boring read when the heroes are overpowered with no apparent reason why.
