The book was pretty good but the narrator kept saying mage as madjj? I'm sorry but I don't even know how to spell it! since it's a fairly magical world it really took me out of it.

What the hell?
The end of EVERY sentence had a WEIRD inflection. I saw the other reviews and since I love this author so much I disregarded them.
Big mistake. I wanted to shout at her! The last book was really good but this one I just couldn't get past the aweful, beyond aweful narration. Did she get bad orders from the publishers or something?

I was not terribly sure about getting this one at first, but I must say that it held my interest completely. The voice acting was great and the story although, ridiculous at first really made me think.
I easily recommend it and will definitely listen again.

Sexual Heat , way overused

Let me say that I love this series and pre-ordered this book.
The phrase"Sexual Heat" must have been used in almost every other sentence.
It got to the point where I was starting to roll my eyes every time I heard it.
The story was alright. F
or some reason the author decided to change some of the rules that we've known about the blood, but that wouldn't have been a big deal, except for the overwhelming and ridiculous overuse of "sexual Heat".
We get it! Damon is beautiful, but it was like she couldn't think of anything else that would be a conflict.
I didn't care for the narrator either. I much prefered the earlier renditions of the characters voices.
Overall I feel very disappointed.
