Historia
Richard Reed built Innocent Drinks from a smoothie stall on a street corner to one of the biggest brands in Britain. He credits his success to four brilliant pieces of advice, each given to him just when he needed them most. Ever since, it has been Richard's habit, whenever he meets somebody he admires, to ask them for their best piece of advice. If they could tell him just one thing, what would it be? Richard has collected pearls of wisdom from some of the most remarkable, inspiring and game-changing people in the world.

Call me homophobic. This book is gay.
Revisado: 02-05-25
Seriously half the stories are of homosexual people who have achieved success. The homosexual community represents such a minor fraction of the amount of people in the world, yet this book would make it sound half your colleagues are openly gay. WTF?
I listened to the entire thing before giving this review. It was an ear ache to listen to. The openly homosexual movement is such a bad representation for your listeners as a whole. Being openly homosexual has nothing to do with bravery, yet this book makes it sound like it's the bravest thing a mortal human being can achieve. What a bunch of bologna.

Historia
In his classic guide to understanding the opposite sex, Dr. John Gray provides a practical and proven way for men and women to improve their communication and relationships by acknowledging the differences between them. Once upon a time Martians and Venusians met, fell in love, and had happy relationships together because they respected and accepted their differences. Then they came to Earth and amnesia set in: They forgot they were from different planets.

Extremely Repetitive
Revisado: 01-28-25
Half the book could have been removed by removing half the examples. Many times I felt the author kept going on and on and on with example after example. It was grueling to listen to. We get what you're trying to say. Next time keep it to three examples max.

Historia
Men have been conditioned to be the quintessential "nice guy". They're trained to be overly humble, kind to a fault, and that just "being themselves" is enough to attract and keep the woman of their dreams. Men are told to believe that conventional masculinity is toxic and to put women ahead of their own interests, passions, and purpose. This book exposes the comforting lies you've been told throughout your life for what they really are, enabling you to become a truly authentic alpha who chases excellence and leads a successful passion-filled life.

Confirmation never hit so hard.
Revisado: 12-27-23
My wife of 6+ years cheated on me and filed an EPO against me that was completely fabricated. I was kicked out of my own house and home for 40 days and 40 nights until I won in court ONLY because I hired a lawyer to prove I was no threat. In the end I won full (sole) custody of the kids when she had 3 felony counts of wanton child endangerment for neglecting our own children. It's sad that men have to get a lawyer to be proven innocent, but that's Western culture for you.
Listening to this e-book wasn't anything new to me. It was just the confirmation I knew was already true, but hearing it still hurt. Everything in me knew it was exactly what I needed to hear, the brutal truth. I'm grateful for the chance to hear an honest explanation of what we already know deep down inside and to help with the healing process of a woman who became an enemy on divorce day.
Thank you for writing this, Mr. Cooper.

Historia
Far more than a "business memoir", What Are the Odds? is a raw, authentic account by a man many thought would never rise above his serial, addiction-fueled failures. Mike's gripping narrative transports listeners from his small-town tavern with its colorful cast of "regulars" to Mexico and a drug deal gone awry. From Las Vegas casinos, where Mike won and lost fortunes as a professional gambler, to a jail-cell beatdown. From failed rehabs to his 20-year marriage, an ideal union decimated by addiction. And finally, to the redemption of the most shameful moment of his life.

Historia
Predicting society’s present addiction to technology, our challenges with data privacy, and the dramatic increase in drug overdoses and depression that have accompanied a technology-induced lack of purpose, The Unabomber’s vision of the future has become our reality. Of course, his means were disgusting and condemnable. But his message is more important than ever. If we want to thrive in an age where automation and artificial intelligence and rapidly making humans obsolete, it is our responsibility to understand and prepare for the technological machine we are up against.

I strongly disagree with the author's POV.
Revisado: 07-09-22
While I strongly disagree with Mr. Kaczynski's views on technology (he's a technology pessimist, I'm a technology optimist), I can understand his view point.
I would very much like to debate Mr. Kaczynski on many of his topics discussed in this book. As someone that sees the majority of technology being used to benefit mankind and none of his doomsday predictions came true as of yet, I would very much like to say that the advancement of technology has only bettered mankind as a whole than condemned us.
Even with his views on the world being overpopulated, they are inherently flawed. At our current rate humanity is facing a fertility problem. The worse off a society is the greater they tend to procreate. America is on a steady trend downward for repopulation. There's a good chance our country won't recover once the death rate exceeds the birth rate.
Furthermore, it is a strong opinion of mine that Mr. Kaczynski has not done much research on other countries concerning the economy. There's a positive correlation that shows that, the more technology is present the greater the chance of mankind's survival. However, Mr. Kaczynski has a eugenic mindset and believes the world should be even further depopulated. Therefore he doesn't inherently care about mankind as a whole. He's simply a narcissist at heart.
Great reading of the author's views on technology. Again, STRONGLY disagree on many points.

It's a sad and eerie harbinger of our times that the Oprah-watching, crystal-rubbing, Whole Foods-shopping moms and their whipped attorney husbands have taken the ability to reason away from the poor schlub who makes the Bloody Marys. What we used to settle with common sense or a fist, we now settle with hand sanitizer and lawyers. Adam Carolla has had enough of this insanity and he's here to help us get our collective balls back.

Adam Literally Complains About Everything
Revisado: 02-16-22
Saw the title and looked interesting. Read the brief synopsis and thought Adam would go into an in-depth personal analysis on how the times have changed and become more sensitized.
Instead I got a love letter to everything Adam hates. The entire audio book is devoted to Adam complaining about literally everything. There is no end game outside of what he deems as stupid. Half way through the audio book I understood it would be Adam going on and on as to what he hates about everything. By the end I was 100% correct.
Adam, if you're reading this, quit your whining.

Historia
Written by Gad, seer of King David, about 1000 BC, this book of prophecy is recommended reading by the Bible, but was never included in the Canon. It was thought to have been lost over three millennia ago. The books of Gad, Nathan, Ahijah, Shemaiah and Iddo are referred to as “The Lost Five.” This long-lost book includes two revealing sermons given by King David. We have a prophecy that outlines the end times beginning with the Rapture, the seven-year tribulation and the establishment of Christ’s millennial reign.

Great Narration, Pushed Pre-tribulation Narrative
Revisado: 07-03-21
The narrator was great, but it felt like the pre-tribulation theology was being rammed down my throat every 5 minutes. Yeah, I get it. you're a strong believer in that religion. However not everyone believes in the religion of pre-trib theology. I don't need it forced on my ears.
The text eludes to neither pre nor post tribulation theology. I would have preferred a clean version of simply reading the text without man-made religion being added on top of it. Your Book of Jasher and Book of Jubilees was much better. It simply read scripture. Just stick with scripture, bud.

Why is The Book of Enoch so important to anyone interested in Biblical history? The answer is simple: It is directly quoted in the New Testament by Jude (vv.14-15). Themes of the book referenced in 2 Peter 2:1. Jesus also used content from The Book of Enoch in many of his sermons in Matthew and Luke. In this text, you will hear the word of God through this amazing document. We will take this amazing journey together and learn why this text is not an official book of the Bible.
