Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Interesting but very negative tone
Revisado: 12-30-19
I would recommend reading The Rational Optimist (by Matt Ridley) at the same time to balance perspectives... Not saying the book is not factual but the author's viewpoint applies a very negative tone throughout.

Historia
The guru to the gurus at last shares his knowledge with the rest of us. Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman's seminal studies in behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, and happiness studies have influenced numerous other authors, including Steven Pinker and Malcolm Gladwell. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman at last offers his own, first book for the general public. It is a lucid and enlightening summary of his life's work. It will change the way you think about thinking. Two systems drive the way we think and make choices, Kahneman explains....

You can say goodbye to today's Internet, New York Times best-selling author George Gilder says. Soon the current model of aggregated free content populated with "value-subtracted" advertising will die a natural deat. In Life After Google, Gilder takes listeners on a brilliant, rocketing journey into the very near-future, into an Internet with a new "bitcoin-bitgold" transaction layer that will replace spam with seamless micro-payments and provide an all-new standard for global money.

Very interesting perspective.
I heard George on a YouTube video and was intrigued enough to read this book but I'm not certain... I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
Nonetheless it is a very interesting read and does get you thinking "differently".

Historia
Chase the Lion is more than a catch phrase; it’s a radically different approach to life. It’s only when we stop fearing failure that we can fully seize opportunity by the mane. With grit and gusto, New York Times best-selling author Mark Batterson delivers a bold message to everyone with a big dream. This is a wake-up call to stop living as if the purpose of life was to simply arrive safely at death. Our dreams should scare us. They should be so big that without God they would be impossible to achieve.

Dead cats. That's the image many people conjure up when you mention curiosity. An image perpetuated by a dusty old proverb that has long represented the extent of our understanding of the term. This book might not put the proverb to rest, but it will flip it upside down: far from killing anything, curiosity breathes new life into almost everything it touches.

Historia
We've all had experience with two dramatically different types of leaders. The first type drain intelligence, energy, and capability from the ones around them and always need to be the smartest ones in the room. These are the idea killers, the energy sappers, the diminishers of talent and commitment. On the other side of the spectrum are leaders who use their intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around them.

Great Blueprint
Revisado: 03-17-18
Where does Multipliers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top half
What did you like best about this story?
Specific examples of what a Multiplier is vs a Diminisher.
My favorite example was comparing the PM of Britain to the President of Israel...
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
One sitting is always ideal IMO for learning but I wouldn't say I was at the edge of my seat to finish it.
Any additional comments?
Another great book that Greg McKeown was part of... very well thought out "blueprint" of what a "Multiplier" looks like in the business world. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in leading people, groups, organizations, etc.
