Historia
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Great book and an amazing narrator!
Revisado: 06-20-20
This was definitely one of the better books I've listened to in a while. The narrator's definitely one of the best narrators that I've listened to and I enjoy listening to just about anything that she narrates.

Fantastic Story
Revisado: 06-28-19
This was a great book in my opinion, as with most books it had its ups and downs especially since it was a tab bit long. Although I found points to be exceedingly boring I felt as though it was was turned around right at the point that it was too much.

A little on the dull side for me.
Revisado: 04-13-19
I found this book to be a little on the dull side but that just for me. I have a problem with things keeping my attention so if the book can't really hook me in the first few chapters it kinda gets lost in my library never to be seen again.
I felt that Steve did a great job and I'm pretty sure that I have listened too and enjoyed other books by him. Now don't get my wrong I'm not saying this is a bad but it just couldn't hook me into it.

Good story and executed very well.
Revisado: 04-04-19
This was an okay listen but just wasn't my cup of tea. Now don't get me wrong this was a good book and a wonderful narrator but I have a pretty severe case of ADD and this is one of the few books that just couldn't hold my attention. Although this book wasn't for me there are many people who would love this book, it had great descriptions throughout the entirety of it so you always seemed to know what was going on and the fighting always seemed to keep me interested.

Decent Book, Great Narrator
Revisado: 04-04-19
This had a decent plot in my opinion the as with other books it did seem to have its slumps but if you push through those short stints then the book gives you what you want. The length was a bit short for me and it left me wanting more but I'm hoping the next book with make up for it. The narrator is one of my favorites and I feel that he does a great job in the books that I have listened too with him.
If you enjoy LitRPG/Fantasy then you with probably enjoy this book, so why not give it a listen?

Great book and great narrator
Revisado: 02-28-19
This was a wonderfully written book that was well just had me coming back for more and I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter. Tess is a fantastic narrator and probably my personal favorite. If you are looking for an exciting series that has some sex, some fighting and more than a few awkward situations then you will love this one.

Amazing Series!!
Revisado: 02-23-19
This series was fantastic and kept leaving me on the edge of my seat and constantly wanting more. These books left me feeling sad that it was over and the author did a fantastic job of leaving you with the need to pick up the next book when you had finished with the previous one. The narrator was not bad but I felt could have been better, there were a few times where it became hard to distinguish from one character to the next even though overall I felt it was a job well done. This is definitely a good read if you are into mythical species and enjoy fantasy books! "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Story was very slow to me
Revisado: 02-20-19
I listened for about 3 hours before I just had to stop from boredom. I felt that the narrator did a decent job from when I did listen to and I think the story has potential I just don't have the attention span to listen to something if it just doesn't grab me.

Historia
Deep under the City of Glass in the frozen Southern land, an age-old machine called the Heart of the City radiates a power that locals call icefire. Most citizens are immune to it, but a few, always born with physical disabilities, can bend it to their will. For 50 years, the ruling Eagle Knights, who fly on the back of giant birds, have killed these Imperfects, fearing the return of the old royal family, who used icefire to cut out people's hearts, turning them into ghostly servitors. The old king's grandson Tandor only sees the good things icefire brought.

The book was "meh" to me
Revisado: 02-09-19
The book didn't have an overly bad plot to me but the rape was just something that I personally don't enjoy in my books. Now if that is something that you can look past then this would probably a great book for you. Though I would like to point out that the narrator did a fantastic job and can't wait to listen to more of their books.
