Damn. That’s all I can say after reading this book. That’s the first time in a long time where I read something and physically cried. Not in a bad way- a way that made sense. The tough love conversation I needed to have with myself. The conversation I have never had with any therapist or adult in my life. And the man has never met me. This book poured into me- and I had to wait a day until I really had time to fully process through all the things I wrote down. I have self sabotaged and victim blamed so many people and situations in life instead of fully owning my part in certain aspects or just recognizing where I need to move forward from and not let those be my identity. The audio book version was amazing, and honestly he has the best Scottish accent. But either way- if you need a new personal development book to read on your shelf this summer highly recommend this one right here. 🖤

*Spoilers* It's Good But...

If I hear one more time about "wet dreams" I may literally throw up. While I felt that this book was very well written there's a couple of things I felt like that need to be put in here as trigger warnings. There's a lot of themes of childhood abuse. These may feel like cultural norms to him, but one scene he talked about his dad being drunk and being hit up side the face with a board because he was trying to attack one of his brothers. He seems to glorify and romanticize his parents divorcing and remarrying 3 different times. Truthfully showing a lot of instability in his childhood. I felt like on a written stand point- like if we didn't know who he was, this would've painted the scenes really well. There's a lot of imagery here and I felt like I could envision being there. I feel like he was a really good narrator in the audio book form. My concern was he talked about all the Greenlights in his book- but he never really talks about redlights or yellow lights- really it was more about how things worked in his favor. I didn't really sense the struggle. So I wish it would've been more balanced. Audio book was about 6 and a half hours long. I'm going to his conference in the coming days with Tony Robbins, and I am hoping to gain more insight into him and what he as a person is putting out as his message.

The Sauciest Voice EVER

Ugh I fucking loved this book so much. Between the narrator and the author itself- this is Amanda’s best book yet! And she’s only getting better and better! Hands down my favorite author! For this being a serious book, there was surprisingly a lot of comical moments, and puts a really interesting take on the mythical world! Such well built characters, I genuinely felt like I was literally wrapped up in a fast paced world! Definitely would do amazing as an adaptation on Netflix! Need more!

Great For Influencers All Around

I found this easy to digest. I applied his tactics to a business I just started working for, and we have seen significant growth already. Its just about repeating and starting this over and over again. Found this comparable to Gary Vaynerchuk.

Very Well Narated

I liked that she wrote the book from the perspective that it's more of an autobiography/memoire stand point. She really gave alot of insightful details of what it is like to persue your dreams and how she got there. She also gives points on how she used social media to her advantage.

LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK

This is a must have book in your audible library if you don't have it already. Gary is so amazing and gives really solid advice for those to seek out their goals and dreams. I learned so much from him and I want to continually consume his content. I will be relistening to this a couple of times over to make sure I didn't miss anything because it is completely chalk full of amazing information. NO regrets listening to this book at all.
