Good read.
Revisado: 10-24-23
I enjoyed this book. The storyline was very interesting. However, the love story was similar to the previous book, which made this one predictable. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the plot. Looking forward to the next, if there is another. I wonder what a book about Atlas would entail…

Historia
Olivia Jones, hard-working and accomplished, has, against the odds, blazed an enviable career path in the finance world. But behind the veneer of her success, she is mourning several devastating losses and betrayals. Untethered from her life in New York City, Olivia moves to a summer home in The Hamptons. Here, Olivia finds a close-knit community of African American elites who escape New York City for the beautiful beaches of the Hamptons. Since the 1930s, very few have known about this Historically Black Beachfront Community, and the residents like it that way.

Loved this book.
Revisado: 06-07-23
This is a great summer read. I enjoyed all of the twists and turns. It is was quite unpredictable, which I greatly appreciated. Each character has a story to tell and it’s nice to see how they evolve throughout over the course of the story. My only qualm is not remembering the plot twists from to this first book. I had to jog my memory to recall some of the characters and their idiosyncrasies, since it was more than a year ago since reading the first one. Nevertheless, I was still able to keep track of it all and boy was it worth it. Let’s keep ‘em coming Sunny!

Love that says something, instead of just looking like it. Love you can always trust to feel like home. For both of them, it’s something that has always been just outside of their peripheral, something to be observed rather than experienced. A depth of feeling reserved for people who were “into” that, those with a different outlook, those more...deserving. Until their paths cross.

Love, redefined
Revisado: 02-17-22
I enjoyed this book. It was a different take on an traditional love story. It is great for people that enjoy reading a romance novel that has more depth that sex. I enjoyed learning about the layers and connectivity of the characters, and think a continuation is definitely suitable.

I absolutely loved this book. It was great hearing the author narrate the book, the way she told the story made the book come to life. I felt like I was on the journey with her. I absolutely loved it and will like listen to it again in a couple of years.

Interesting read, Great for long trips
Revisado: 10-19-15
Married Men was a great book about not only the marital struggles of men, but other pertinent issues facing men today. Even though the book is from 2001, it still reads like a modern day story that will keep you wanting more.

I didn't enjoy this book. It wasn't realistic, nor were the characters. I thought the plot was good and provided a strong base for a ur book, but the book didn't come together for me as I'd hoped.
