Historia
From the time we’re born, a litany of do’s and don’ts are placed on us by our families, our communities, and society. We're required to fit into boxes based on our race, gender, sexuality, and other parts of our identities, being told by others how we should behave, who we should date, or what we should be interested in. For so many of us, those boxes begin to feel like shackles when we realize they don’t fit our unique shape, yet we keep trying because we crave acceptance and validation. But is “fitting in” worth the time, energy, and suffering?

Brandon is such an authentic voice of hope. I loved every minute of this book, and not surprising they are such a great reader!!
Truly one of the sweetest and most poignant autobios I've ever had the pleasure of coming accross. No matter what your identity and race, Black, queer, POC, white and cis-het this book is inspirational and moving. The world would be a better place if everyone read this book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book for any adult!

Historia
In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion. Thus begins J. R. R. Tolkien’s classic tale of adventure, which continues in The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

Andy Serkis is an animated narrator!
Revisado: 07-20-22
This isn't on you'll want to try to fall asleep to..good for drives! My only issue with the Andy was that he was sometimes so theatrical with his reading that it actually distracted me from the words he was saying. Also, the volume of his voice was all over the place as he whispers and shouts so just be prepared! Very entertaining.

Historia
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

I love Jim Dale
Revisado: 06-09-21
These books were recorded before the movies came out, so no Jim Dale probably didn't see any JKR interviews. He starts pronouncing things correctly later on in the series (maybe book 4) once the movies came out.
Anyway, he's the only reason I'm using my credits on this series. I absolutely love his narration.
It's a shame the author is so hateful toward a group of people who are consistently viewed/treated as less than human. It seems she missed her own lesson of love and acceptance.
Wish I could give all my money to Jim Dale, but that's sadly not the way it works.
