Sandford mostly writes great police stories but occasionally forays into other genres such as his excellent Kidd novels. The one thing they ALL have in common are the richly described and deeply interesting characters that drive the narrative.

The voice of Tara Sands brings the characters to life with the same authenticity Farone does for Stanford’s cop novels!

I’ve read other reviews that complained about this collaboration and the fact that this book is nothing like the other books by John Sanford but in my opinion this is narrow minded because this series is simply outstanding!
It is not a police drama like Sanford other books but let’s not forget his Kidd novels.
This book is filled with lavishly full characters that make you wish each one could have a series of their own.
The narration is outstanding.
This may be the end of the trilogy but I hope that the characters will continue in a new story!

Any additional comments?

If you are a fan of the Ender series then you will be thrilled to read about the days before Ender's struggle began when the human species still thought it was the only sentient life in the universe.

That illusion is shattered in this exciting new chapter to the Ender saga!

Would you listen to The Amber Spyglass again? Why?

This story weaves such an intricate tale across so many story lines that you want to read it again and again until you've truly internalized them all.

What does Philip Pullman and full cast bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

With so many outstanding voice actors each character seems to be the main character when the story is told in their voice making their story incredibly compelling.
