This book would have been much better without all the modern political nonsense added in. The author is vehemently anti Trump. The negativity took away from the content to the point I wanted to quit listening several times.

Another great book

Most prepper books leave me freaked out. Not Mark’s. I enjoy how he ties in biblical teachings with preparedness skills.

Great Book

I love all of Mark’s books. The problem with other apocalypse type books is they are very dark. While Mark’s books aren’t warm and fuzzy all the time, he brings in humor and hope which keeps the story from becoming depressing. I learn something in every book and am challenged to do some studying in my bible as well. I highly recommended all of his novels and make sure to check out the Prepper Recon site as well.

I HATE Cliffhangers

This is the first negative review I've written for any of Nalini Singh's books - and I've read every one she's written. The book is 11 hours and 44 minutes long. I loved all of it until the ending which destroyed the whole book for me. After building and building this intense story, it feels like Ms. Singh got tired of writing and just cut the whole story off at the knees.

And frankly, I don't understand it - she has a very loyal readership. I look forward to the next book and have loved every one of them. But I want a conclusion to the story! Sure, there are things left undone that get answered in the next book (or in some cases in a much later book) and that's fine. It gives me something to look forward to. But to cut off this book, with this couple, practically in the middle of a sentence, is maddening.

Ms. Singh, please - no more cliffhangers.

Loyal readers will definitely want to read this book. But wait until the next book about Elena and Raphael is out so you can continue the story without all the negative feelings I'm having right now...

Disappointing

I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get into it. I got through chapter 9 then just skipped to the end and listened to the last 3 chapters - and the sad thing is, I don't feel like I missed anything. In his day, James Patterson was great - these knockoff's - not so much.

Cute Story

Yes, the lead male is a misogynist, but it's not to the point where you want to hate him. He learns to love and this is a very cute, well-written story. I really enjoyed it.

Oh, and all the complaints about the narration - it's not bad! Are the accents all perfect? No, But these two did a great job.
