Anyone who is lover of fantasy, magic, action, heroes,underdogs,love and war will surely enjoy this book as much as I did! This book gives the right amount of everything! I love that Zel and his "supporting cast" are actually all main characters! The character development throughout the book is amazing! This is a very well written book and and Narrator was outstanding as well!👏🏽👏🏽 I am soo looking forward to the starting the next book!

At first I thought we get would some key past info from Cas' point of view in addition to...in this book. If we had to deal with this narrator for a whole book why not give Cas' story before his brother freed him. This was just a lazy retelling of everything we already knew! I'm so disappointed that I no longer care about how it ends. I am not buying the next book after wasting money on this one!

My goodness! Where to begin....I first discovered this series maybe two weeks ago and I just finished "House of Flame and Shadow". The storyline, the emotions, the parts falling into place like pieces to a puzzle, the cleverness, the characters, the twists, the narrator.....I cannot formulate complete sentences to express the brilliance that is this series, so I'll sum it up like this: This series is so good that I feel robbed by only owning the audible version. I must purchase the physical books and read the series with my own eyes! Brava!

I felt as though I was watching a series! That's par for the course when James Patterson is involved. Zachary Quinto is, as usual, the perfect man to play a seemingly normal guy who's actually a psycho. Story was good, a little frustrating at moments because the protagonist was getting away with "you gotta be kidding me" crime moments! But that's how you know its good! The performance was great! On my way to my next JP read! or listen actually! 😊
