Historia
In the title story, "Dark Nocturne", D is hired to unlock the secret of a siren's song that is drawing men in their twenties to their deaths in the hills outside Anise Village. In "Notes on Imagined Autumn", D finds himself caught between two lovers during a ritualistic sacrifice in the village of Shirley's Door, but if D can't stop the sacrifice will all in the village be doomed? And in "Legend of the War Demons", two living weapons, genetically engineered creatures who are the last remnants of a war waged hundreds of years in the past, find that battle is not so easily forgotten.

3 different adventures
Revisado: 07-30-23
Legend of the war demons (3rd story) was the best of in the 3 which should be adaptive to anime!!! My only critique is a production error where it should of been voice of left hand but it was D and Dymas said that to stop talking like an old man.
The previous stories just reminded me too much of vol.9 the Rose Princess.

Production for these dramatized novels are excellent.
My complaints about previous was author used so much jargon and same ol same ol. With template of young girl and D’s presence is dreamy, and at least one bad guy never get a redeeming second chance.
This novel uses same template but at end D shows why he is a vampire hunter.

Story has substance and there is not much jargon and filler like previous novels. It’s sexy, action packed, and story is very satisfying.

The frontier’s damsel in distress is about 17 to 18, D’s allies for short period then to turn against each other, and ending is no real resolution and the whole damn thing is a waste of time. I did like the journey through the desert and interactions between characters but FFS ending is so blah. Author should of had an editor to make these books better development

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Blue or red pill
Revisado: 03-24-23
Production is great, literally like a movie in my mind. The author seems to always have a template of a 18 yo girl in the mix but this story was very surreal and I also like that nobilities are just merely a plot to further make story moving as oppose to be having vampires as actual characters.

"The City," a tiny metropolis of a few hundred sheltered citizens floating serenely on a seemingly random course a few feet above the ground, has long been thought safe from the predation of marauding monsters. It seemed like a paradise. A paradise shattered when an invasion of apparent vampires threatens the small haven.

Futuristic Romeo and Juliet mixed with horror
Revisado: 01-20-23
Obviously the anime deviates allot from book but for a good reason. The story has some intense and graphic situations that got me cringing. One part that I like was when Layla was all, wTF is that on your left palm lol and D just moves on. Such bad ass. Will listen to all of these and see that they are getting progressively better in production. Will watch Bloodlust to cleanse my palete.

Historia
A Place to Stand is Jimmy Santiago Baca's memoir of childhood on the small farms of New Mexico, his adolescence spent in orphanages and detention centers, his years as a drug dealer in San Diego and Arizona, and his extraordinary personal transformation under the harrowing conditions behind bars. Life in prison was often brutal, and Baca describes the extreme measures he had to take to survive, which endowed him with an indomitable will to resist the dehumanization of prison life. The act of writing offered a powerful means of transcending his surroundings.

Very intimate story of Chicano life in the 60s and 70s inside prison and out. Family dis function shaped Jimmy life but finds it in his heart to forgive. And yes there is some not PC derogative words for gay, dude get over it, it is the verbiage that makes A Place to Stand an accurate representation. PS the narrator delivers with much gusto and panache
