Historia
Mickey Haller has fallen on tough times. He expands his business into foreclosure defense, only to see one of his clients accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home. Mickey puts his team into high gear to exonerate Lisa Trammel, even though the evidence and his own suspicions tell him his client is guilty. Soon after he learns that the victim had black market dealings of his own, Haller is assaulted, too—and he's certain he's on the right trail.

Not a Harry Bosch saga
Revisado: 07-22-11
"The Fifth Witness" was involved too much with the legal side of being a defense attorney for my taste. Court dialogue seems to take a lot of time to get nowhere. There was also a lot of information about the defendant - Lisa - that seemed to come out of nowhere. I just don't feel this is on a par with the Harry Bosch novels I've read or listened to

Unhappy
Revisado: 05-06-10
I enjoy a good mystery but this was more romance than anything else. The last chapters were all about the heroine's love life with the bad guys caught and dismissed without much fanfare.

Historia
An unidentified woman in a nightgown is the victim of a hit-and-run accident that leaves her unconscious and seriously injured. The image of the young woman stumbling along a dark, winding road is one true-crime writer Molly Blume cannot shake. It draws her to a bedside in intensive care, where, before dying, the victim whispers three names: Robbie, Max, and Nina. It is sufficient enough to reinforce Molly's gut instinct that there are sinister circumstances behind the assault on Lenore Saunders.

Back drop
Revisado: 04-27-10
I felt there was too much "Jewish" background that kept coming to the foreground and disrupting the flow of the story. I also felt the romance aspects took over the mystery too often
